and I found a new place to photograph knitting

New home requires a new painting!

Your home should be your retreat. It should be more than the place you lie your head; it should be a haven. It should be a place you feel safe, welcome, comforted. When the rest of the world is insane, bearing down on you from every side, your home should be the place you can go, whether alone or with family, and know that you can shut the door and be surrounded by people and things you love that aren't out to get you. Our homes are what we make them - for ourselves and those we share them with!

When I saw this house at Collabor88, I had to get it. I keep replacing the houses/homes/skyboxes because I get a whim and fall in love with something new. This one, though, I think is a keeper. It even has a hidden room with a super secret bookshelf entrance! I squeed in RL over that! Oh yes, I have big plans for that room. (Romp is opening soon! *wink wink*) I adore the textures they chose to use for this, from the floors that look like reclaimed wood, to the beautiful roofing, plaster on the walls, and filled-in-then-cracked transoms. It's an old, lived-in house with lots of story to tell and more to be written!

With the help of a few friends, who also happen to be room mates, we're getting it set up rather nicely, I think. It's still a work in progress, and not quite cozied up for the holidays yet; but I thought I'd share it with you all the same.

Usei:

1x base fosca Ana Hickmann

2x Bracelete - Colorama

Bom final de sábado e bom domingo!

I wasnt really planning on doing this, but last night i painted another pair of teddy bear chips and thought they would look nice on her and they do. <3

I really like them on my little Florence, i hope all of you do too. =)

March 5, 2017 - Tried something new today. Starting to get the creative juices flowing for this project. Things might start to get interesting ...

I love the jack-o-lantern fabric at the bottom of the picture and that little scrap of fabric is from Thimbleberries. I lined the handles, so the burlap wouldn't itch when using. My fabric combination is very different ffom other tote bags I have made in the past. I used reproduction fabric and charm squares that quiltgrl_2000 gave me for my birthday. The charm squares she gave me are from the Urban Couture line and the designer is Basic Grey by Moda. The burlap gives the bag a country sort of feel.

We seldom buy new stuff. We are all about reusing everything we can. But we needed some expanded metal lath for the shower stall we are building and it's not something we see at our second-hand home remodeling haunts. So, we bought several pieces new and here it is all rolled up so we could get it home in the economical Honda car. This stuff comes in sheets about 2-feet by 8-feet and it is very, very sharp. Disclaimer: no fingers, hands or automobile interiors were harmed in the making of this photograph.

New for me........I have been meaning to try this pattern for a while now. Had a feeling it could be done but wasn't sure how.....MAN! It was a pain in the butt to fold!! And there was quite a bit of error which I kept having to go back and adjust for, and so some of the "suns" are lop-sided. But I'm OK with that....makes 'em look a bit lozenge-like, more like flowers than suns....

I have a lot to say about this, too much....and really no time to sit down and put it all into words as things stand now....This baby was the culmination of a while, and certain ideas seemed to fall into place today with this peice....It's a beginning...excited....

Selfishly wish I had a chunk of money so i could stop with the $ scramble and concentrate on certain ideas for a few months....alas....

In advance,I'm sorry for being such a lousy flickr contact. I haven't had the time to be active lately.

So,I've been working on my portfolio page for a while now..and it seems to be finished now,at least roughly. So check it out at www.igorcvoro.com if u like

Controversial modern scultpture outside the new Birmingham Library. The modern family evidently has no need of men!

Working through the backlog of DCU photos from this season I took a bit to play with HDR again. I'm happier with this than my last foray, but curious to hear any feedback out there - more the style than the individual image I used this time around.

Try it on black.

Just a little something new, may do a post. We shall see.

I haven't posted anything a long time! I was going through editing some pictures today and this one came out pretty neat.

I shot this cloud bank a few years ago extremely low on the horizon, just above the tree line and only 150 yards away. We had hit and miss thunderstorms all afternoon and the sun was high above in clouds, so only the back (very white) part of the cloud was being lit.

Gee, you learn something new everyday. Instead of setting up my large pro backdrop stand, I used a cheap garmernt rack I picked up at the dime store. It has wheels and uses a small space. The fabric was hung using plastic clamps. I wanted a vintage fantasy look so I used: KPT pyramid paint (Corel) and Andromeda's scatterlight for the blur effect. I added the holly illustration I used in earlier cards in the corner and blurred.

lets see where is takes me?

I tried something new with shooting soccer instead of standing on the sidelines I went on the end line right by the goal. I sat on the ground to get a low perspective on the field and ended up getting this amazing shot.

The color horse photo is new today.
