Hasselblad SWC?M, Velvia 50.
Rannoch Moor, Scotland.
One of those mornings you think you've wasted time and money to stand in a drably lit field. Then a beam of sun shine sweeps the moor and you cross your fingers and toes that it will come your way. Then i went to the pub and watched England win the Rugby World Cup. Heaven !
Fresh scan.
Amid the lush growth covering the landscape, a solo tree stands tall but on the cusp of death.

I love images of solo trees, standing alone in a field under a big sky. I snapped this one as we cruised by on the way to the mall yesterday.
With my traditional camera, I know what kind of shots I'm going to get when I shoot from the windows of our moving car. With the iPhone, it's always a surprise.
This time, the surprise was a pleasant one!

Lostine Tree
As crazy as it sounds, the clouds and sky looked exactly like this. Trees, thunder clouds and sunsets are a great combination.

Cool Green Tree in Green Scottish Field - I really like this image - the balance , the colours and the lines of the crop in the field
couldn't resist this, brilliant blue sky solo tree and traditional stone wall.
taken between malham and gordale scar in the yorkshire dales
The final version which I prefer: a slight amout of blue saturation put back in, a small trim in from the left, and some work on the bottom right corner. Re-edited one more time, with a little more tinkering with the sky, the bottom right corner, and a slight crop in from the left. Again updated with a lighter and slightly less saturated feel. I really like the slightly pinky-purple tones in the fog.

a barn, a tipi, a tree and a sunset
This photo is combining some pretty amazing things. The barn itself is worthy of a photo, but combine that with a tipi, an amazing leaning solo tree, beautiful tall grass, and a lens flared sunset through the pine trees. I was seriously drooling as I was taking these photographs. Special thanks to the family that let me shoot this photo on their property! This is 20 18mm photos stitched.
