Good luck riding it home. It's good it's a bike though, since Reykjavik is proud of its reputation as a city of heavy drinkers.
Street scene. This isn't at the Blue Lagoon (what it reads on window). They have a products store in Reykjavik.
I've decided that every night road scene ought to have a police car pass through it. Taken while messing around with exposure in Blossom Hill Cemetary in Concord.
Statue of John Bridge, snowy night. Cambridge Common, Harvard Square. Cambridge, Massachusetts. February 18, 2009.
Yeahh!! Lila Rose taught me how to email my cell phone photo's to myself last night! I had no idea how to do it I'm Not kidding! I stopped on my way in last night for a cup of DD. We were having flurries. No real snow yet tho..
Yeah I know the quality leaves Tons to be desired; but when I'm cameraless I can at least snap the moment up =)
Thanks Lila!

This isn't the most inspiring view I do admit, but this is the first snow that we've had this year, well it's the first snow we've had here this winter so I had to get a shot of it falling. It'll probably have all gone by tomorrow morning so I wanted to get a shot of it for the project, even if it's not a great shot.
This day in 2008..... www.flickr.com/photos/weeping-willow/2234738743
This is a miniature Weeping Willow tree in my front garden, it was so cold that I just opened the front door and took the shot.

So this is the first of the "Daily-ish Pleasure Year 3"
Going to not focus on each day as much as the quality... but I liked this somewhat blurry night shot of the snow storm yesterday.

We both headed off to work as usual today, despite a light snowfall having accumulated and there being continuous heavy flurries all morning. But we both got sent home when our workplaces had early closings, under the threat of this monster snowstorm. It... was not monstrous at all at any point during the work day. Seriously, by 5:30 we'd managed to accumulate maybe two inches at best. But by the time we'd finished dinner, the snow was picking up considerably. In fact, Pookie's workplace already declared tomorrow a snow day early this evening, and after going outside to check on how things were accumulating, Schnookie declared she wasn't going anywhere tomorrow either. Snow day! WOOO!
i wanted to take advantage of all the snow when i went home this weekend. i love the night when its snowing or when there is a a lot of snow on the ground. the sky never really gets dark, it stays this reddish purple. i also love how the snow picks up the orange from the streetlights. it makes the night wondrous but the houses sinister, especially in a development without any tree over 20' and with these tiny sidewalks as wide as the snow blower that cleared it. on the side of every driveway in the corners are ragged rocky piles of snow and then beyond them smooth expanses of white. its so surreal.
