Snipe are normally elusive birds staying close to vegetation and therefore well hidden to any passing predators. This small group were well out in the open on the frosty ground in front of the hide at RSPB Greylake. A lovely sight and a bit unusual.

The 60th year of my love of photography with my first camera in 1964. A life long passion and I still love it as much as the first day with my Halina medium format camera.
.sometimes you have to cut off a piece of yourself to heal the rest.

I will say this once. Tomorrow this ends for me.
I hate drama. And I hate that I am now being dramatic.
Anyone not interested in a load of bitching, please skip this and stop by tomorrow. My apologies.

Today I deleted some of my contacts. (it wasn't easy.)
There has been a disagreement between some people on Flickr for some time. It diminished slightly and I ignored it for some time.
Once again it has emerged, and I am not over-exaggerating when I say I'm repulsed by the depravity of the lengths some people will go to.
Some people. Anyone reading this who thinks that that I'm talking about the other guy – Stop now.
I'm talking about you too.
The funny thing about debates and disputes, is that everyone always thinks that they are the ones in the correct position. The right ones. The innocent ones.
Fact is, when you act like you're 4 years old and start posting shit about each other in public forums, sure - you're gonna make the other guy look like an ass.
But you look like one as well.
The only innocent people are those that sit by and feel like shit cos you’re friends are fighting and they expect you to hate the other one.
That is a terrible position to be in.
I am sickened by the fact that people that I have known and become very close to for over a year are suddenly pitting me against other people I thought I knew
.
I can't take the drama, nor the fact I now know things that I did not need to see or know.
We're all jackasses sometimes, but this is beyond disgusting.
I'm ashamed of all of you involved. And I have no desire to spend my free time, my fun time (that Flickr is supposed to be for me) watching you parties duke it out like school children.
I'm 25 years old for Christsakes.
And I'm seriously nauseated that I can't even fucking click on my contacts streams anymore without seeing a new isolated whiplash between people a decade older than me that I do not wish to see.
So. I have deleted a few of you. Please do not be greatly offended.
After a few months, perhaps I'll peruse through and be able to enjoy your photos and friendships once again.
But for now, I just don't want to see anyone arguing anymore. Seriously.
Pandon me, and my language, my possibly rude desire to be utterly excluded from things I do not wish to see.
Flickr is about friends and photography. Not about choosing sides and seeing middle aged adults acting like children.
For everyone who has no idea what I’m talking about? You’re my new best friends.
Random Fact du jour: I’m sorry. And yet – I’m not.
I know I usually leave my Critter shots for the weekend but i have a few waiting in the wings and rather than spam you, I thought what better than a hump day Critter shot.
Ever since he has had the snip heacts like he really has something to prove.....funny little boy.
Again I set my camera to multi so the quality isn't the best.
