Take A Walk With Me Series

#157 of 365

I visited a home near Table Rock on a koi pond tour this weekend. They have the most wonderful garden. I can imagine sitting here for hours contemplating the delights of nature. Thank you to the McManus family for sharing!

These always remind me of the movie Waitress. Great gift for a waitress or baker.

I'm finding, when it is your job to be creative, that sometimes at the end of the day, the juices are spent. I love all my various jobs, but this is a reminder to myself that I must save a little of that juice for myself.

Why, I have not uploaded anything here since July, and every photo I've taken lately has been with my iPhone and my new DSLR sits quietly in the closet.

So I am at home, lunching between jobs, and I am trying to eat more fruit, and I thought, let's get out the camera and photograph the fruit in my sunny kitchen. You don't have to get out the tripod, you don't have to think about it too much, just make sure the ISO is set right, and you can even allow yourself to shoot in JPEG for quicker access to the end result.

Sometimes, if you are busy, and your juices are used up, just get the camera out of the closet and take a photo of something, anything. You won't be disappointed.

365 {59} I love chocolate birthday cakes.

I found these so intriguing. What is haw? Did they mean to write ham? Is it an animal or a vegetable? The happyface Pac-man character only increased they mystery. Turns out to be sweets made from the fruit of the Chinese Hawthorn tree. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haw_flakes

Ah, now we see that the foresight of unnatural cake shading pays off.

My wife can't eat the raw meat right now, so I sliced a bunch up for her and finished them off.

My new MacBook Pro is quite possibly the greatest thing since sliced bread. I love it!

11-5-07 --Okay. Update time...I have since sent this one back. It had a dent in the bottom of the case. I want it to be perfect. Well, the sent me a new one, and it was working great UNTIL mac osX leopard showed up. It crashed the sh!t out of the mbp....In some strange twist of fate, FedEx re-routed the old one back to my door by mistake. I took it, and called apple. They gave me a $200 break and are sending me a new copy of leopard...So I am nowback on the one pictured here, dent and all.
