Pulling from the archives here, trying different post work techniques. I am a nerd like that. Anyway, I've poured over all sorts of different post-work styles and such the last couple weeks, so this is like test 1 lol.
The original was pretty nice, super high contrasts, very punchy blues. The conditions were actually amazing that day. This was January of 2023. I had a killer tooth ache that day. Couple days later all 4 wisdom teeth are gone, heh.

Finally got out for a sunset. I have been waiting all week for some decent colour. This was my first stop at Sanctuary Point just down the road from my house. I was sussing out how much cloud there was to the west where the sun rays are. and snapped off a few frames . then I took off across town the the Basin to find a nice spot and wait for the magic to happen.

Woke up early and I was at the sea at about 5 o'clock in the morning, I saw some clouds on the horizon and I knew that the rising sun would make them glow :)

I previously posted a colored version of this same angle but a different long exposure. I figured it was worth going back and doing one silver and black from the rest of the lot. I went back and forth with this one and another exposure. At the end of the day this one was more striking, so I went with it. This is Boston's best skyscraper in my opinion, we could use a couple more like it.

This is the 2nd wasp species that was coming to my daughter's birdbath on the Fourth of July. The water on this side of the birdbath was reflecting the cloudless blue skies.

I just love it when I have the oppertunity to take shots like these. I can spend hours by a poor puddle in the street waiting for my chance to get something special. I feel lucky to find my lucky shot in Paris.

Reeds reflected in the water of a canal along pond #3 at the Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge in Volusia County, Florida near DeLand.
This is St. Kate's college campus..The grounds are beautiful!!
They also have a theater called the O'Shaughnessy that the public can attend..Many great shows to see!
Tori Amos and Rosanne Cash are later this summer, too ..
They have added some greenery to the pond and it is starting to look better now.
Have a great Day!

captured in the serene setting of a shipyard, this photo gazes upward at the polished exterior of a boat. the crisp blue sky serves as a perfect backdrop, emphasizing the gleaming portholes and the textured surface of a fender, cradled by shadows. light dances off the chrome, a symphony of reflections creating an almost otherworldly effect. the meticulous craftsmanship of the boat’s exterior tells stories of voyages yet to come, anchored in a moment of stillness and anticipation.
Hi Peeps ! , Well after spending a few months laying around on the beaches soaking up the sun, Barely picking up my camera I though I had better get back to it. Summer isn't a great time for colour in the sky except when the bushfires are raging, but tonight I decided to go back to my usual haunts and focus my mind. it seems like forever since I have been back here yet this spot is a minute from my house, the tourists have all but gone and I somehow got through it thanks to the heaps of sharks spotted on the beaches, mention shark here and the tourists flee, suits me just fine. Anyways tonight wasn't looking very hopeful there was a lot of smoke in the sky due to a massive fires out west at Kosciuszko National Park and also Tasmania they are so far away and we can't smell them but the evidence is in the sky and it has been rather hazy the last few days we are looking at 39 degrees tomorrow, the mullet here were flying across the water and jumping clean out of the ocean tonight and the only noise I could hear was when they slapped back into the ocean, try as hard as i might getting a good pic of them in the air is a goal they are so hard to get on film , but they are fun to watch
The tide whispers secrets beneath a fading sky,
And every grain of sand is a promise sculpted by quiet hands.
He builds a kingdom that knows it will not last -
Turrets etched with care, windows gazing toward stars.
Behind him, the world folds into dusk,
And the water waits to reclaim the dream.

When I walked the dog it looked like it was going to be a red sky sunset. There was plenty of cloud around and a clear gap on the horizon. So I got back home and waited another hour then headed back to the shore and bugger me the cloud had all but gone out to sea and this is all that was left, I was pretty disappointed. Oh well there is always tomorrow. I highly doubt we will get rain that's for sure.
Poem.
The bonnie, bonnie banks.
“Bonnie,” has never really worked for me.
Like a word you might associate with a well-groomed miniature dog!
Loch Lomond is more than just bonnie.
It is lush, verdant, profuse with woodland and shrub.
It is grand, scenic, picturesque and beautiful.
Ben Lomond looms over the northern half of this island-scattered loch.
It is commanding, regal, proud and majestic.
Here at sunrise, the narrower northern channel
of this lake tunnels through the southern-most “Munros” of the Grampians.
Multi-layers of indigo, navy and grey slopes unfold endlessly, layer upon layer, into the distance.
The rising sun splashes cloud and reflection with a blush-pink hue that complements the shadowy blue slopes, perfectly.
Tantalising, exquisite, mercurial, and, if you insist,
very bonnie!!!

A few weeks into Autumn and I am still waiting for a blood sunset, and the way things are going I am going to be waiting a while It is either golden like this or clear blue boring sky
Back in my element I was hopeful for something special at sunset. It fizzed out, when I got there 15 minutes before sunset the water was like glass, as the sun started to quickly dip behind the mountains the slight ripples began to move across the ocean as quick as I could click trying to beat them, in a split second after this all reflections disappeared and the water became a grey blur mess. This was snapped just as the sun disappeared to the right (out of shot)
