Uig, skye
I took this this shortly after leaving Uig harbour on my way to the Outer Hebrides. More of a sky scape than a landscape perhaps...
I have often dreamed
Of a far off place
Where a hero's welcome
Would be waiting for me!
Where the crowds will cheer,
When they see my face
And a voice keeps saying:
"This is where I'm meant to be"
I'll be there someday
I can go the distance
I will find my way
If I can be strong
I know every mile
Will be worth my while
When I go the distance, I'll be right where I BELONG!

A view from the rear on a sunny afternoon across the rice fields. At 92 meter (300 ft) height the statue is Thailand's tallest and obviously dominates the surrounding fields. The province and area is quite flat and the Buddha is visible from afar.
Besides that, I just love the rainy season here with fantastic clouds and sky scapes. The clouds move and change surprisingly fast, driven by high winds and then often culminate in short, but fierce thunderstorms late afternoon early evening.
That day was really gorgeous and I spent a few hours walking through the fields, baking in the sun and shooting ... more to follow shortly :)

A Ninjago mosaic featuring one of my favorite moments from the show. (The background in the actual screenshot was boring, so I did substitute it for a different sky-scape of Ninjago City) You can't quite tell in this picture, but the background is plates while the characters are bricks, so there's some added depth.
Unexpected sky scape as I left work one evening. It was so beautiful I pulled over & snapped it from the parking lot.
Here we have the constellations Orion on the left, Taurus with star Aldebaran in the center and evening star Venus right next to the Plejades... The bright winter constellations are about to fade...
Shots done with a rented Nikon Z50 and mounted FX-lens
Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures Y-Wing (This thing is seriously small, only 6cm long). Blur effects were captured completely in camera, with diorama background taken from some sky scape photography I did in the past.

Cloud formations over the small sea-side village of Ballywalter, Co. Down. : to the right, menacing dark rain clouds can be seen approaching.
There is uncertainty about the name ' Ballywalter '. ‘ Bally ’ means town or townland. But why ‘ walter ’? One suggestion : it refers to Walter De Arquilla, son of Lucian. Lucian De Arquilla was one of 22 knights and 200 men-at-arms who, in 1167, marched with John De Courcy through the Newry Gap. De Courcy defeated the native Irish at Downpatrick. He gave his knights large tracts of land ; Lucian De Arquilla received land at Dunover about one mile from Ballywalter. Here can still be seen the remains of the mote which he built.

Panorama view from Highland Farms in Cornish this afternoon, it was a cloudy but nice day for a change, temps in the low 70F range and hardly any humidity and the due point was down in the 40's, not bad at all.

These are fun to do if rather frustrating and challenging. If I ever find myself out after dark again, I will be trying more of this.
It's more of a Sky Lark Mountain/Sky Scape, but that's not as catchy a title.
I was very pleased to see that my camera had, very strangely, focused on the bird instead of the background, especially with so much background!
Male Sky Larks fly high into the sky and then sing as they plummet to the ground. This was one such flight display.
This photo will be the first in a series of flight shots.
From my trip to Britain.

We were treated to a beautiful sky-scape tonight with Jupiter blazing high in the south in the constellation of Taurus. Starting in the bottom left and making a nice diagonal line we have the brightest star in the sky, Sirius, then the constellation of Orion, then the Hyades cluster which makes up the bulk of Taurus, then the planet Jupiter, and then finally in the top right corner, the Pleiades Cluster (AKA the Seven Sisters).

Panorama view at sunset of what was left of a Towering Cumulonimbus Incus / Anvil thunderhead on the horizon, it was just one of the storm cells that rolled through the area today, fortunately we did not see much in the way of heavy rainfall from them, some sprinkles but no downpours,.. so far.
