Little Moreton Hall near Macclesfield in Cheshire, England. A beautiful old Tudor black and white building in the Cheshire countryside .

Looking well under National Trust ownership since the 1930's. It originally dates from about 1504, being built in several stages by different generations of the Moreton family. Although it was closed to the public (on Mondays and Tuesdays ) when we visited , there is a footpath to the nearby canal that gives a wonderful view of the building.

Failed on the beach

One more from the morning before the tropical storm came ashore. Typically, sunrises and sunsets are very colorful, but the purple was so pronounced for a few moments at sunrise that day.

Time exposure with LEE Big Stopper of a very special sunset in Basel, Switzerland. Overlooking the river Rhine towards the headquarters of Hoffmann-La Roche an the city centre with the cathedral far in the distance.

Taken during the descent into Woldingham valley on a beautiful day last Sunday.

Aslom Island and the Mindoro mainland beneath a blue sky and clouds. Aslom is located just a few minutes boat ride off the Mindoro coast at Bulalacao.

I waited 2 hours for the sun to fall, the dogs were just a tad bored :-)

D&RGW GP40-2 No. 3104 had the honor of leading the Rio Grande Zephyr, train No. 18 through Price Canyon at Castle Gate, Utah on May 27, 1979. One of the regular F9B units was at Burnham shops in Denver for a rebuild and repaint.

The idealistic picture that accompanied us most of our rafting on the Yuryuzan' river.

The dark and grey sky makes the greens pop out just a bit more at the Kinderdijk.

sunshine at last

Rainbow on the Mountain

We had some amazing skies a few days ago.

Low ceiling, towering sea oats. Taken on the Eastern tip of the Bogue Banks. Off to the left is mand made Radio Island.

It was made from the fill dredged from the Harbor at Morehead City. So named for a now defunct radio station that was built on the Island. Just to the right, you can make out the Shackleford Banks, home to a large herd of wild horses. The Island is closed to the public to protect the herd.
