A different individual to the first one I posted, found lower down the slopes. Biggish crop as he was a bit of distance away, across a bramble patch.

Summer skies over Mindoro (background) as viewed from Suguicay Island in Bulalacao town.

When scattered clouds are resting on the bosoms of hills, it seems as if one might climb into the heavenly region, earth being so intermixed with sky, and gradually transformed into it.

―- Nathaniel Hawthorne

I'm little bit late with this one, but this how the sky looked when we had the Sahara dust in the sky. This was mid-afternoon after the worst had passed.

and all the silent words. It's all I have for you, now - silence.

Valle de la Luna is a part of the Reserva Nacional los Flamencos and was declared a Nature Sanctuary in 1982 for its natural environment and strange lunar landscape, from which its name is derived.

The Atacama desert is also considered one of the driest places on earth, as some areas have not received a single drop of rain in hundreds of years, but last week. A prototype for a Mars rover was tested there by scientists because of the valley's dry and forbidding terrains.

happy weekend to everyone! see you soon - or even sooner. ;)

They are making a new park out of an small airport which served my part of town my whole life. No trees yet, but I assume those will come.

Here was a view across the fields to some nearby buildings, for Fenced Friday.

Love the sky this time of year!! Drone shot of the Ouse at Fulford, York.

The holiday season in full swing, trails all day.

Not much construction going on in Calgary any more. One building downtown shows life and provides much needed employment.

The sky is dark, but there's a lot of indirect light coming from the west behind me as the sun goes down behind lighter clouds.
