This morning's sunrise with the seagull silhouetted was beautiful. Wishing all my Flickr friends a Merry Christmas and New Year. I find the images shared on this site so inspiring. May 2017 be a clicking great year.... : )))
I'm Glad the Sky Is Painted Blue
by Unknown Author
I'm glad the sky is painted blue,
And the earth is painted green,
With such a lot of nice fresh air
All sandwiched in between.
Technical details of the image:
This image consists of:
* An image of cloud against the blue sky taken before it’s starting to sprinkle.
* An image produced from focus stacking (using ZereneStacker) 26 macro shots of a paint brush.
The final image was produced by combining the above two images masked and styled in Photoshop.
Enjoy!

I moved to Boston!
I thought I would post road trip photos first, but as it turns out there are a lot to sort out and my internet access is still pretty iffy. So instead, here's my first photo of the Boston skyline seen from the Tufts Tisch Library roof. I'll be very busy the first couple months so don't expect much photography at first (I'll probably continue posting the rest of my leftover chicago and road trip photos instead), but after that I hope to do some exploring.
This sky really reminds me of the loose pillow like interiors of mid to late '70's luxury cars! Five exposure HDR processed with Nik HDR Efex Pro 2
Every once in a lifetime we dream of flying to infinity, touching or approaching the sun. We are all dreamers and dreams help us to look forward. There are men who make us dream for a moment, raising their eyes to the sky, as if to touch it.
A different individual to the first one I posted, found lower down the slopes. Biggish crop as he was a bit of distance away, across a bramble patch.
I'm little bit late with this one, but this how the sky looked when we had the Sahara dust in the sky. This was mid-afternoon after the worst had passed.
