Drove out to Skull Valley, Utah, about 45 miles west of Salt Lake City, in the middle of the (flat and barren) valley is a large rock formation that sticks out like a sore thumb called Lone Rock. The main rock formation is probably about 75 feet tall and all around the edge are smaller rocks about 10-15 feet tall. About 5 miles away is the massive Cargill Salt Factory at the edge of the Great Salt Lake which is illuminating the foreground believe it or not.

In a dark mood today.. nothing to worry about but I'm just feeling so damn moody. Maybe it's bcs of the shitty weather or maybe it's bcs I have figured out that I'm not doing anything with my life. I have no life goals and my passion for photography is holding on to this little shred of life. I've been on Flickr now for how long? Since 2000'ffing 4!! I remember it well.. oh how times have changed. Oh how I've changed..
Skull Tower is a stone structure embedded with human skulls located in Niš, Serbia. It was constructed following the Battle of Čegar of May 1809, during the First Serbian Uprising. Serbian rebels under the command of Stevan Sinđelić were attacked by the Ottomans on Čegar Hill, near Niš. Knowing that he and his fighters would be impaled if captured, Sinđelić detonated a powder magazine within the rebel entrenchment, killing himself, his fellow rebels and the encroaching Ottoman soldiers. Vizier Hurshid Pasha ordered that a tower be made from the skulls of the fallen rebels. The tower is 4.5 metres (15 ft) high, and originally contained 952 skulls embedded on four sides in 14 rows.

Did you know according to myth, snapdragons offer protection from deceit, curses and witchcraft, can restore youthfulness and beauty, and scattering snapdragon seed pods around the house protects from evil?

Ever since I saw the latest wave of Ninjago, I've been wanting to build a skull villain with the ghosts' color scheme. And now that I have some dark blue CCBS and plenty of yellowish green, I built the Mancer. Though overall a simple build, that torso has some crazy angles and was a pain to figure out. Maybe I'll post a skeleton shot sometime.
Bali's mysterious Kecak dance features a host of characters from the Hindu epic Ramayana. The story revolves around the kidnapping of Prince Rama's wife Sita, and the monkey god Hanuman (in white) who does battle with the evil king Ravana (in black) to get Sita back. The dance thus explores the eternal battle between good and evil, and the ultimate victory of righteousness over wickedness.
