Ski Dubai is claimed to be one of the largest indoor ski resorts in the world, with 22,500-square metres of indoor ski area. It is a part of the Mall of the Emirates, which is one of the largest malls in the world.
An extremely efficient insulation system is the key to maintain the temperature of -1 degrees Celsius during the day and -6 degrees during the night when the snow is produced.
Townsville were lucky to host the 6 day "2011 National Water Ski Championships" this Easter weekend.

One of the first descent of the season, not the best snow conditions but a lot of fun and falls.
Here in Prato Nevoso last weekend, the 1 meter of two week ago is now about 20-30 centimeters! Let's hope for some new snowfalls and think about the climate change.

A clever and colorful fence made of water ski's. It looks like the owner is adding to it. My impression is that I think the owner is young at heart, colorful, likes whimsy, and likes to have fun. Someone I would like to meet. When traveling up and down Hwy. 35, there are pockets of small artist colonies.
The Rio Grande Ski Train was leased for the University of Iowa's 2004 football season to provide an alternative way to get to Iowa's football games.
The shuttle service was a good way to help keep the streets clear of drunk-ass college kids pre and post gaming during Hawkeye games.
For over 15 years, the Hawkeye Express passenger train has been a part of the Hawkeye football gameday experience. An average of 3,700 fans boarded the train in Coralville and enjoyed a 10-minute trip to Kinnick Stadium each game during football season.
Covid-19 killed it off.

This is the view from the Urabandai Ski Resort. On the right is the butterfly pattern, Grandeco, and Mount Nishiazuma, which I posted the other day. On the left is the frozen Lake Hibara.

The indoor ski 🎿 resort, opened in 2001, was the first such facility in Germany. It is visited by more than one million people every year. In addition to the winter sports facilities, the resort also includes various restaurants, a hotel and a climbing park.

Skiing in Rondane with my son. The picture does not show the strong wind and low teperature -11 celsius. We had a fantastic four day skiing. Sunny but cold, the warmest -6c mid day and -27c one night we slept in tent. 90 km in moutain terain. Thanks to my son wo still want to spend some time with the old man and make him feel strong.

We were climping top of the mountain called Konttainen. Opposite was Ruka and ski jumping tower. Wind turbines was right side, good thing...
