Squid skewers ready to go on the grill at Atong Kamalig restaurant in Dumaguete City, Philippines, Feb. 26, 2013.
Ready for the grill. Brushed with butter, sprinkled with garlic sea salt, skewered in neat lines.
Low flame 2-3 minutes on each side, baste with a little butter if it looks like it's getting too dry.
Solid skewer brushing the one on the left is made of aluminum, the others are stainless steel same as the skewer.
I guess this is supposed to be a howling dog, but look again. Doesn't it look like the dog has impaled itself on a branch coming of the stump? I spotted it on the side of a pickup for an industrial service company.
Lots of fresh bay leaf, lemon and lime zest, lemongrass, etc. The overall effect was a bit too citrusy for me. C+

Now located in Neillsville, Wisconsin, this building was Wisconsin's Pavilion at the 1964 World's Fair in Flushing Meadows, New York. The pavilion was dismantled after the fair and moved back to Wisconsin and stored in Boscobel. In 1967 the Central Wisconsin Broadcasting Company purchased the building and rebuilt it here in Neillsville where it is home to a radio station and gift shop.
