871 look

I looked along canal - my bridges fad.

Erasmus his Adagia, looking glad.

So key word "look" links sketches, not too bad.

Here many blades of grass gives real look.

Details of waves 'gainst white sky, me betook.

All foreground smalls give looker clearer hook.

The eye goes out to bridge and bank afar.

An inland boat sweeps by fast - carries car.

The ear hears bow waves, doubled, hit the bar.

Erasmus writes Adagia, school-kids for.

Erasmus early portrait - smile he wore.

They earned his daily bread, so he could soar.
