Started making a Dictionary of different words. It's to get me into the habit of drawing again!!

Gloriosa Rothschild Lily June 21st

Quick sketch of a view of a street in my neighborhood. I walked a lot that day, so I wanted to pay a tribute to what helps me walking on the hot asphalt.

PS My internet access at home broke down, for at least 4 days. I will comment on your masterpieces as soon as I can… :)

It's fun to explore the free effects available on Flickr's Picnik!

Love seeing the graffiti across the street through the café window. This one is on Gloucester Road (pronounced something like "gluster" here).

just making some sketches for a friend on the 3A forum. he created this really cool custom, and it just inspired me to create a lil' comic about it!

This is actually a sketch of a friend I haven't seen in a long time. This under sketch was done with a blue prisma pencil. I recently started doing under sketches with color prisma pencils so i'm still learning how to vary my strokes so they aren't as noticeable when i go over with pen and marker.

Sketch by hand made with pen ball and colored acrylic pens.

This sketch was for an idea of doing a piece like those statues on Easter Island, drawn from an aerial perspective.

A sketch from my book from last spring (just an idea back then)

These are actually square despite the bizarre out of square look they are emanating

Chair at Café des Officiers nears Les Invalides.

I've been adding a lot of ink to the last few spreads but wanted to pare down to get to the essence of the subject. I'm not too sure if I was successful with this spread....

I'm really digging the name Aphelion. What do you think?

So I've taken two clues from Ken Hultgren's book "The Art Of Animal Drawing": divide the body into three parts (front, belly, rear) and use a dorsal stripe to divide the animal in left and right.

I based the sketch on this photo.
