Completed Jedi Master Luke Skywalker as seen in issue #3 of Star Wars Invasion by Dark Horse Comics. Luke is in command of Republic forces sent to the planet Rychel in order to repel the invading forces of the Yuuzhan Vong.

The figure was mostly sculpted in Aves Epoxy FIXIT sculpt using a plastic articulated armature. The forearms and hands have been recasted from original parts. The head originalted from a Legacy Snowspeeder Luke figure, casted in wax and completly retooled and refined adding additional markings to the face, age lines, a lower brow, hair and ears...I also strengthened the jaw. The figure measures 3.75" in height. Painted using Floyquil Acrylics by testors.

Although difficult to see, H2's main lense is actually real layered glass, cut down, beveled and glued inside a small plastic tube within the droid's head piece, then sculpted around to give the look of the main lense. Looking directly into the piece you can see layers which give the appearance of a true camera eye!

Sculpt work is close to completion for the Sith Stalker helmet. I need to make a few adjustments then begin on the body sculpt.

Did a bit more resculpting and added some detail to the face. May try one more...I'm happy with this and my prior version :)

Here are some shots with Jennir's Bearded head sculpt - a seperate cowl piece was sculpted and fit to give the appearance that hood was lowered around the shoulders. The hat has a clear band that goes around the neck under this seperate piece which hides it. Then the head is attached.

So with Ash I am working on a way to show the transformation from scientist to robot. Here is an early work in progress of the "MILK" version of Ash that will include his broken body and galley table from the Nostromo. Tubes and wires will lead from the head to the neck of the body. Calling this the milk version because if you've seen the film...well yhou know what I mean! LOL!

Head sculpt refined and completed for my upcoming Skorr figure - Had to get back to the classics!

Sculpt progress on the Newborn - Alien: Resurrection. 1:18 scale work in progress using Aves FIXIT Sculpt by Aves Studio LLC.

Taking small steps but the head sculpt is coming along. Already have to make some adjustments to an eye that's slightly lower than the other and a bit too deep into the socket. Most of the time that would be a major pain working with cured epoxy but I don't think so this time around....famous last words LOL!

I'm liking it so far. Will slowly begin to look more recognizable with each update. Looking forward to making progress with this piece. More to come! #alien #resurrection #sculpture #newborn #miniature #avesstudio

Yuuzhan Vong Warrior from the Dark Horse comic series, Invasion. Sculpt is about 85% complete - Shoulder armor is removable. Figure is a total sculpt - using Aves FIXIT. Plan to create an alternate head sculpt of the warrior. 1:18 scale, approx 5.5 inches.

An update of my 95% completed Jedi Master Luke Skywalker from the Dark Horse comics series Invasion!

Lt. Ripley update...Getting closer but much more work to do. Still need to broaden the bridge of her nose a bit more, widen the nostrils. The lids of the eyes need to be added - currently she's looking like an alien herself. The upper lip needs to be accentuated and chin elongated and squared off just a bit. Hopefullly the next update will have the facial sculpt complete...which will be revealed on my next blog entry. :)

Here is the completed, painted head sculpt of Captain Dallas (Tom Skerritt).

A shot of Vong Commander Tsalok's massive leg armor...

"I admire its purity. A survivor … unclouded by conscience, remorse, or delusions of morality....I can't lie to you about your chances, but … you have my sympathies."

Ash (Alien 79) version 1 head sculpt complete :)...I suddenly have a craving for a glass of milk...

Additional images on my workup of AVA's frame - Ex Machina - 1:12 scale. First some "likeness tests" as I like to call them - it's a helpful tool to overlay images of the subject I am sculpting (in this case, Alicia Vikander) to make sure proportions are correct. It doesn't always help with the shapes as much as it has to do with spacing of the eyed, ears and mouth. Additional image are of the head and body frame as both have been modified. The body has been reduced once again to make way for the sculpt work. I plan on sculpting the actress as she appears on set in her bodysuit....then on the backend, separate the parts and begin construction the skeletal parts as well as the transparent dome, arms, legs and torso. For now I am working on a few other projects in the 1:18 scale. ‪#‎ava‬ ‪#‎meetava‬ ‪#‎exmachina‬ ‪#‎sithfire30‬ ‪#‎AliciaVikander‬

Sculpt progress on Ava - 1:12 scale. Ex Machina. Sculpted the ears!! smile emoticon Did a little more shaping of the machine skull. I'll begin detailing it tonight. I am considering on creating the clear mesh dome the same way I did with the Alien- through vacuum forming. Need to get some mold material. If this works I may repeat the same process with all the machine exposed parts. ‪#‎exmachina‬ ‪#‎ava‬ ‪#‎aliciavikander‬ ‪#‎A24‬ ‪#‎sith_fire30‬

Here is the first teaser of my work in progress Mazzic figure from Star Wars: The Last Command. Interesting info I learned in wookipedia - one of Mazzic's body guards was one of the Tonnika Sisters :) The head sculpt is nearly complete - will begin working on the body soon.
