The sculpt work of the Yuuzhan Vong Warrior (Invasion) is complete. This will be the first of four completed Vong warriors from the Invasion comic series. Took some final shots before prime and paint.
Nera Dantels was a female smuggler who worked for the rebel alliance as seen in the short lived Dark Horse Comics series Rebellion. I am currently working on the main body sculpt and head. May have to revisit the face a bit because it appeares to be too thin. More details coming soon :)
The sculpt is based on concept work from Star Wars Galaxies. The character was never given a name from what I understand but was listed as a Mon Calamari Tech Specialist...really?...I decided a bounty hunter would be more interesting.
I completed the head a while ago and made a plastic cast out of the original sculpt.
I am taking some creative license and resculpting the lower legs and feet to fit the physiology of the species. So the boots will be bigger and a bit wider, so will the lower legs. The jetpack will be fully sculpted as well...
Sculpted using FIXIT SCULPT
Additional images of my New Republic Shocktrooper - This one is closest to completion...I have three more that are in various stages.
An update to my ultimate Darth Vader - I have completed the body sculpt and have added a coat of black paint to the form but haven't added shading nor any details yet. My main objective right now is to create three Vader helmets, each having a distinct look to the episode they appeared in (A New Hope, Empire and Jedi) The helmet for ANH is more of a combat ready version, dulled out and worn. I think I'm close to achieving the look - but I think the eye pieces need to be larger. Once I have the look down, the only difference I see with the other two would be the shine and shape of the dome piece. After I have finalized all three, I will go back and create a helmet that can be broken down into the three components. After that, sculpts of Vader's head to fit the helmets, and possibly additional articulation to the body. So I have a looonnngg way to go :)
The figure features a removable helmet! - The helmet is made from the plastic capsule you get from a gumball machine; scored, weathered and scratched to look used and worn out.
From the Dark Horse comic series Knights of the Old Republic, written by John Jackson Miller, comes my completed Zayne Carrick as he appeared in part four of Commencement.
My first diorama (or playset I like to call it )- The Legacy Sith Temple - Inspired by the Dark Horse comic series Star Wars Legacy. It's under construction and when finished will be multiple levels of Sith architecture with power doors and various ancient Sith columns/sculpture.

Reworking my Mara Jade sculpt, reducing the legs and buttocks and adding ball hinged hips. Also cleaning up the paint job...
I've taken a series of photos that show the early work into getting the Savage Opress's frame constructed as well as some early stages into the sculpt.

My sculpt of Darth Maleval as seen in the Dark Horse comic Star Wars Legacy. Fully sculpted and painted using Aves FIXIT and Testors Floyquil paints. Fully articluated, Approx. 5.125 inches High. - In scale to the Hasbro Star Wars 3.75 inch figures.
I've taken a series of photos that show the early work into getting the Savage Opress's frame constructed as well as some early stages into the sculpt. These series of photos show the work up on the newly constructed frame. I have began sculpting additional details to the head, as well as building the neck and shoulders.
Sculpt progress on the Alien Queen - ALIENS 86 - 1:18 scale.
Molding time! Time to mold the first of many parts that will be made to create this beautiful beast. First piece for replication will be the carapace (crown). This will be a two part mold, and as usual, I run out of product before I have a chance to finish! :(
I got the first half of the molding process complete - have ordered more material and it should be in my hands a couple days from now.
Built the mold box from foam core and used monster clay for the blocking. Applied a brushing of mold material (Smooth-On Mold Star 15 Slow) over the entire sculpt and surface, then made my pour. Several hours later, inverted the mold and cleared the monster clay to begin the second phase....coming later this week.
Will add more venting prior to doing my first cast. Much more to come...got some painting to do!!!

Additional work on the upper chest and shoulders of Savage. I added the three frontal horns...although some adjustments will be needed because they appear to be too large...
I've taken a series of photos that show the early work into getting the Savage Opress's frame constructed as well as some early stages into the sculpt. The first handfull of images are an experiment with articulation.
Here are some shots with Jennir's Bearded head sculpt - a seperate cowl piece was sculpted and fit to give the appearance that hood was lowered around the shoulders. The hat has a clear band that goes around the neck under this seperate piece which hides it. Then the head is attached.
Not much to look at but this will eventually be Baby Doll as seen during the first sequence...taking on the three Samurai. She will be as articluated as I can make her without affecting the sculpt. The frame will be reduced a bit more in the arms and abdomen. The skirt will be sculpted, not fabric - It's short enough not to impede the movement of the legs...thank goodness for short skirts. She'll come with her blade, handgun and map. The head sculpt is a VERY EARLY work in progress...much to do! youtu.be/c-bCGOthQ5
**UPDATE** Completed the forearms and added the first layer of sculpt to the upper legs. The lower abdomen and back still need some work. The arms are maxxed out on articulation - swivel/hinge joints to the the wrists, swivel joint on the forearm and the elbow/shoulder are ball joints. This headsculpt is similar to the "Korriban" version but with facial armor sculpted to the jawline - this reflects his appearance in the "Hope" trailer as he commanded Imperial/Sith forces in the sacking of Alderaan.
Darth Malgus from the upcoming Bioware game Star Wars: Old Republic. You've seen this dark lord in the "Hope" trailer - he will have alternate damaged body armor and an alternate head featuring the respirator seen in the "Deceived" trailer.
work in progress images of the sisters with focus on the head sculpts. I have completed sculpting one of them so far. The other will be slightly different, with an identical facial sculpt but altered hair braid. Although the the facial sculpts are identical, I will apply different paint schemes to differentiate between the two. You'll notice one is shorter than the other...this is of course intentional. I plan on retooling the hips and legs for better articulation...not happy with how they work with the sculpt currently.

Here's Jennir with the cowl removed completely - the cowl is a seperate sculpted piece made from the FIXIT epoxy. This material is incredible to work with - no limitations to what you can do with it. Props to Aves!

From the Dark Horse comic series Knights of the Old Republic, written by John Jackson Miller, comes my completed Zayne Carrick as he appeared in part four of Commencement.
Big, heavy and well worn, Zayne's suit has been sculpted and painted to appears to be a mix of woven material, leather and a lightweight metal alloy which includes a working removable helmet and PlSS (Primary Life-Support Subsystem) backpack.
My completed sculpt of Shado Vao - this guy took awhile to complete, went through a few revisions. He will include two additional head sculpts - one which is still being sculpted. Will be interesting on how I keep paint from getting on the soft goods :)
Straying from the path he has sturggled to hold true, Dass Jennir arrives on Telerath. Unbeknownst to Jennir, his destiny with the living force is about to be revealed and his burdened conscience wiped clean....
Dass Jennir is a favorite character of mine from the Star Wars Dark Horse Expanded Universe.
My apologies for taking so long to complete this piece...as with all my work, I never center my full attention on just one project, always a bit at a time, tabling and returning to the subject when the inspiration hits.
This is a 1:18th scale figure - fully articulated with all the basic movements and can be posed in many postions like other factory made figures...mostly when his cowl is removed.
Both figures sculpted using Aves FIXIT sculpt and painted using Floyquil Acrylics.
Completed Sian Jeisel from the Dark Horse comic series - Star Wars: Republic. The figure is 3.75" high and sculpted using Aves FIXIT two-part epoxy and painted using Floquil Acrylics. Visit sithfire.blogspot.com/ for additional details.

I'm currently working on some sculpt adjustments to Vamp...after being away from the project for awhile, I've realized some corrections that need to be made. In this image I have began resculpting and thickening the waist - the original sculpt had the waist too slim. and threw the figure out of proportion. This figure has primarily been sculpted over a microman skeleton for ultimate articluation...I will be reworking the head and the arms and continue the work on the legs. Belt, knife and other accessories will be added later...
My first diorama (or playset I like to call it )- The Legacy Sith Temple - Inspired by the Dark Horse comic series Star Wars Legacy. It's under construction and when finished will be multiple levels of Sith architecture with power doors and various ancient Sith columns/sculpture.
1:18 scale sculpt work (in progress) of Baby Doll from the motion picture Sucker Punch. Upper/lower torso complete - I always sculpt the form first, then add details such as clothing, armor ect later. Arms are still bare but not for long. The head sculpt isn't finalized. More to come! sithfire.blogspot.com/

Completed the Darth malgus sculpt early Sunday morning this past weekend! Need a little refinement here and there then it's off to be painted! :)
While the body of Satele Shan is still a work in progress, the head sculpt is complete and painted. Here is a teaser - based on Sno E. Blac's likenss as Satele in the Old Republic cinematic trailers. More to come with my next blog update :)
