My sculpt of Darth Maleval as seen in the Dark Horse comic Star Wars Legacy. Fully sculpted and painted using Aves FIXIT and Testors Floyquil paints. Fully articluated, Approx. 5.125 inches High. - In scale to the Hasbro Star Wars 3.75 inch figures.
Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty - Head sculpt complete - time to paint it up and sculpt the rest of him!
Vader's shoulder armor is now in the works. Will also need to broaden his chest armor so that it slightly overlaps the shoulders but not enough to limit articulation.
I have began building up the chest and torso of Savage, added the additional shoulder and more detail to the head (the two small horns on either side).
Here are some shots with Jennir's Bearded head sculpt - a seperate cowl piece was sculpted and fit to give the appearance that hood was lowered around the shoulders. The hat has a clear band that goes around the neck under this seperate piece which hides it. Then the head is attached.

The figure features a removable helmet! - The helmet is made from the plastic capsule you get from a gumball machine; scored, weathered and scratched to look used and worn out.
From the Dark Horse comic series Knights of the Old Republic, written by John Jackson Miller, comes my completed Zayne Carrick as he appeared in part four of Commencement.
Straying from the path he has sturggled to hold true, Dass Jennir arrives on Telerath. Unbeknownst to Jennir, his destiny with the living force is about to be revealed and his burdened conscience wiped clean....
Dass Jennir is a favorite character of mine from the Star Wars Dark Horse Expanded Universe.
My apologies for taking so long to complete this piece...as with all my work, I never center my full attention on just one project, always a bit at a time, tabling and returning to the subject when the inspiration hits.
This is a 1:18th scale figure - fully articulated with all the basic movements and can be posed in many postions like other factory made figures...mostly when his cowl is removed.
Both figures sculpted using Aves FIXIT sculpt and painted using Floyquil Acrylics.
Sculpt progress on the Alien Queen - ALIENS 86 - 1:18 scale.
Molding time! Time to mold the first of many parts that will be made to create this beautiful beast. First piece for replication will be the carapace (crown). This will be a two part mold, and as usual, I run out of product before I have a chance to finish! :(
I got the first half of the molding process complete - have ordered more material and it should be in my hands a couple days from now.
Built the mold box from foam core and used monster clay for the blocking. Applied a brushing of mold material (Smooth-On Mold Star 15 Slow) over the entire sculpt and surface, then made my pour. Several hours later, inverted the mold and cleared the monster clay to begin the second phase....coming later this week.
Will add more venting prior to doing my first cast. Much more to come...got some painting to do!!!

An update to my ultimate Darth Vader - I have completed the body sculpt and have added a coat of black paint to the form but haven't added shading nor any details yet. My main objective right now is to create three Vader helmets, each having a distinct look to the episode they appeared in (A New Hope, Empire and Jedi) The helmet for ANH is more of a combat ready version, dulled out and worn. I think I'm close to achieving the look - but I think the eye pieces need to be larger. Once I have the look down, the only difference I see with the other two would be the shine and shape of the dome piece. After I have finalized all three, I will go back and create a helmet that can be broken down into the three components. After that, sculpts of Vader's head to fit the helmets, and possibly additional articulation to the body. So I have a looonnngg way to go :)

Working a bit on corridors this week. A quick test shot using figure sculpts so far recreating the "Facehugger Reveal" scene - **simply a test and not for accuracy and nowhere near final**. Just making sure it's "in the neighborhood" so to speak. #alien #nostromo #whydontyoujustfreezehim #sith_fire30
Even more detail added to the chest armor, also reduced the length of the neck.
With the chest magnet working properly, I begin adding the detail to the chest armor - a bit at a time. You'll notice I've gapped the armor at the shoulder joints - this will allow for articulation. I've also decided to combine the chest and back armor to one piece, then make a mold, cast and create the damaged version from the new plastic cast.
Completed Sian Jeisel from the Dark Horse comic series - Star Wars: Republic. The figure is 3.75" high and sculpted using Aves FIXIT two-part epoxy and painted using Floquil Acrylics. Visit sithfire.blogspot.com/ for additional details.
Additional work on the upper chest and shoulders of Savage. I added the three frontal horns...although some adjustments will be needed because they appear to be too large...

I've taken a series of photos that show the early work into getting the Savage Opress's frame constructed as well as some early stages into the sculpt. The first handfull of images are an experiment with articulation.
Reworking my Mara Jade sculpt, reducing the legs and buttocks and adding ball hinged hips. Also cleaning up the paint job...

From the Dark Horse comic series Knights of the Old Republic, written by John Jackson Miller, comes my completed Zayne Carrick as he appeared in part four of Commencement.
Big, heavy and well worn, Zayne's suit has been sculpted and painted to appears to be a mix of woven material, leather and a lightweight metal alloy which includes a working removable helmet and PlSS (Primary Life-Support Subsystem) backpack.

1:18 Scale custom sculpt of Jedi Dass Jennir from the Dark Horse comic series Star Wars Dark Times. Sculpt is complete, working on the paint application - Sculpt was created using Aves FIXIT.

H2 was fun to create! The droid was once an R2-D2 figure, with heavy modifications to the sides, head, legs (removed) and undercarriage. The wings are made from styrene and epoxy with a small plastic tube threaded through the main body to either side. The head and wings have a full range of rotation. The clear stand was once that from a microman figure - works perfectly with H2.

Sculpt progress on a 1:18 scale Working Joe - Alien: Isolation. Head sculpt still needs a bit of work. Will begin sculpting the shoulders out this week. #alienisolation #workingjoe #nostromo #Sevastopolstation #creativeassembly #sithfire30
I have began building up the chest and torso of Savage, added the additional shoulder and more detail to the head (the two small horns on either side).
With the first head sculpt completed, I am now working on the removable chest piece - which will come in two variations...damaged and undamaged - this recreates the damage Malgus recieved by the grenade attack on Alderaan. I have decided to use only one magnet and combine that with a wraping suit of chest armor that will go over the neck joint and around the upper chest and back. The magnet will help keep it from slipping off. This photo shows Magnet in place - the next step is to lightly sculpt over the magnet to conceal.

Additional images of my New Republic Shocktrooper - This one is closest to completion...I have three more that are in various stages.
work in progress images of the sisters with focus on the head sculpts. Both will be slightly different, with an identical facial sculpt but altered hair braid. Although the the facial sculpts are identical, I will apply different paint schemes to differentiate between the two. You'll notice one is shorter than the other...this is of course intentional. I plan on retooling the hips and legs for better articulation...not happy with how they work with the sculpt currently.

After several technical difficulties, I'm finally back on schedule to begin painting! Haven't painted in quite some time so it's nice to mix things up a bit. Speaking about mixing up, that's what I've been doing over the past couple days - mixing paint! LOL!
Already have a few coats of gray acrylic (primer) applied to the Newborn heads. Jeunet only needs one but I always like to have two worked up just in case.
May even have time to paint up a couple other Alien (79) figures that were tabled!
Will take shots of my progress and update when I can.
