Castle Sinclair Girnigoe, Noss Head Caithness, Scotland, Photographed on 13 July 2008, during renovation. The castle was held by Clan Sinclair since the late 14th century. The Sinclairs are well embedded in Scottish history throughout the centuries.
We stopped in Paris Springs on Route 66 Missouri to see Gay Parita Sinclair Station and had a wonderful conversation with the owner Gary Turner.

I don't know if we were having a drought, or a warm spurt in the fall when they let the water down for people to work on their docks. That's me in the foreground, sitting in my folding chair. We still have that chair, and now Rollie and Tiller sit in it. But now, the neighbor's dock is gone, and there are more houses in the background. Sinclair, 1976.
