Designed by ecentric technology millionaire, Sir Clive Sinclair, the C5 was designed to take advantage Uk road rules. Designed to not exceed 15 mph (24km/h) and to be driven without a driver's licence.
The C5 was envisioned to help reduce inner-urban road congestion, however, certain aspects of the designed failed to meet customer requirements for weather protection, occupant crash protection and protection from the vehicluar emissions from other road users. The project also suffered from the lack of development in battery technology (still a burden to would-be electric car makers).
Perhaps a vision of the motoring future held by today's Green Lobby (so watch out!).

Cadboro Bay Beach in July
Today I cycled 7.5km roundtrip from home to Cadboro Bay. I took the UVic route outbound and inbound.
Cadboro/Gyro Park upgrades continue
Here's what Saanich Municipality has to say about it:
"The big red Octopus was successfully moved in June 2014 into its new home at the Cadboro-Gyro Park.
The 15 tonne iconic structure was moved 17m to cluster the play equipment as part of the repair/replacement plans that include accessibility upgrades.
Thanks to the Parks planning/design & construction staff plus the good folks from Built-Rite/Level Lift for helping to move the Big Red Octopus safely & successfully."

In addition to high traffic public spaces, there are quiet study spaces built into smaller areas of the Library.
Sinclair Station in Snyder, TX This triangular building sits one its own three sided block. The building was built in 1934.

2007 ~ Shambles Square, Manchester, with Sinclair's, and the Wellington beyond, moved bit by bit twice, the latest time in 1999 following the IRA bombing of the neighbouring Arndale shopping centre.
My first time on Route 66! Drove to Wilmington, IL in search of the galactic Muffler Man. This was a bit further inside town.

At the 1964 World's Fair in New York, the Mold-A-Rama machine was officially introduced and most of the molds were dinosaurs promoting the Sinclair Oil exhibit. These dino molds are larger than the current versions of the same figures and are made of a waxier material.
My Sinclair C5, found it lurking in my shed! Been there for a while, time to make it work for a charity bike ride. I know it's not a bike but, it's for charity!!
Motor is shot, no chain, no battery and inner tubes and tyres are shot.
Could be an interesting ride from the Malvern Hills Hotel, round the hills to the Malvern Rugby Club. Sounds fun, almost all down hill. Just discovered the front brake is rubbish and the rear pulls you to the middle of the road!
