My Sinclair C5, found it lurking in my shed! Been there for a while, time to make it work for a charity bike ride. I know it's not a bike but, it's for charity!!

Motor is shot, no chain, no battery and inner tubes and tyres are shot.

Could be an interesting ride from the Malvern Hills Hotel, round the hills to the Malvern Rugby Club. Sounds fun, almost all down hill. Just discovered the front brake is rubbish and the rear pulls you to the middle of the road!

Designed by ecentric technology millionaire, Sir Clive Sinclair, the C5 was designed to take advantage Uk road rules. Designed to not exceed 15 mph (24km/h) and to be driven without a driver's licence.

The C5 was envisioned to help reduce inner-urban road congestion, however, certain aspects of the designed failed to meet customer requirements for weather protection, occupant crash protection and protection from the vehicluar emissions from other road users. The project also suffered from the lack of development in battery technology (still a burden to would-be electric car makers).

Perhaps a vision of the motoring future held by today's Green Lobby (so watch out!).

One area of the Library still has the traditional library "feel" with study tables, lots of books, and wooden furniture.

The front part of the inn was built by Jean Soullard, the King's gunsmith to the then French garrison, in 1710 for his bride. The couple were not long to stay in their new home as the British captured Port Royal and Soullard sold to John Adams then moved to Quebec.

Later owners James and Rebecca Whitchurch were granted the first "strong drink" license in English North America and opened a tavern in the Spring of 1747. Federick and Mary Sinclair purchased the tavern and merge it with a nearby home creating the present structure. It would remain an inn until 1956 when its then owner Stewart Mills passed away. It was then used for a time by a taxi company then acquired in the 1980s by Heritage Canada for restoration.
