Sinclair began as "Parco" in the 1920's. "Parco" stood for "Producer's And Refiner's CO". The company town was designed and completed in 1925 but by 1942, the oil refining had been sold to Sinclair Oil and the town changed it's name in 1942.

The Sinclair C5 was a massively unpopular electric car developed by Sinclair Research, makers of the ZX Spectrum (the first computer I ever used). It was released in the mid-1980s and failed, partly because it was an idea ahead of its time, but mainly because it wasn't very good.

One of its many problems was that it was so low to the ground that people driving in cars often couldn't see it... kind of like going into traffic sitting on a skateboard. Subsequent versions attempted to remedy this by attaching a long pole to the back of the vehicle, to which a flag could be affixed (seriously).

Anyway I was very excited to see this one on display outside a design store in Omotesando. They're quite rare, for pretty obvious reasons.

We went to this place.

They had many antique cars.

This is one of them.

(That was a Haiku. Because that's how I roll.)

This place is great. Old gas station that is now a country store. All the old signs are still there. Also has the soda fountain. The woman working there said people offer to buy her signs all the time. Between Dillard Ga. and Highlands Nc.
