This is my best photo for simplicity. I chose this photo since the building had an appealing pattern and the contrast between the building and the sky. I used Lightroom to first crop the photo and make the lines even and the building to the right less distracting. I also made my whites brighter because I really wanted the building to stand out against the blue sky. I also made the blacks a little darker so the pattern the windows make isn't disrupted by the items that you can see through them.

Simplicity 7862; ©1968; Misses' Suits ... Designer Fashion: Both skirts have side zipper and waistband. One skirt has an inverted pleat at center front. The lined, princess-line jacket with long two-piece set-in sleeves has front button closing and optional purchased or ribbon tie belt. The jacket with the flat collar has optional flaps and ribbon bow trim. The jacket with the "stand-up" collar has optional welt on left front.
I made the tops out of a linen blend with a texture to the fabric. Here is a good shot of the texture, but the color is bad. The other two shots I have show the color better -- it's definitely more of a plum.
Simplicity 8615; ©1970; A Pattern from Simplicity's "How-To-Sew" Series. Misses' Dress in Two Lengths, Vest and Tie: (Including a Tissue Lesson Chart ... "How to Set in Sleeves"). The dress with back zipper and lowered waistline seam has inverted pleats in front, "V" shaped neckline, collar and optional, contrasting tie. Mini-length V. 1 has short set-in sleeves. Regular length V. 2 is sleeveless. The lined, sleeveless and collarless vest with front button closing has low "V" shaped neckline.
French seams and a hand sewn hem. Not sure I would bother with the button opening at the back if I did this again.

Made from blue corduroy print. I added a cotton "lining" - not a true lining, but made by just sandwiching two pieces together and sewing as one. I was really surprised at how well this went together.
