Simplicity 4669 back view. A clear glittery button closes the back slit. As this top goes on over the head I increased the slit length by 1 & 1/2 inches to make it easier for my granddaughter to put on.

This was the first version I made of this dress and I loved it so much and it fit so well I made 4 more!

Bodice detail. Perfect darts just shaving a tiny bit off her hip. She's thanking me

Can you spot the center seam and mismatched dots? Argh!

Blogged about here.

This picture shows simplicity because it is a bug on the floor. It is almost an absolute plain background.

I made a shirt! With sleeves! Using a pattern that has that brown graham cracker paper!

All modesty aside, I am extremely proud of myself. I'm not a good follower of written directions, when it comes to crafts.

The neck stitch is crooked because I was distracted by "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", and my gathering stitches are too deep, but I didn't have any problems with the pattern.

Russ Miles and David Dawson came to Skills Matter and gave a one day workshop on how to inject simplicity in software. Working in teams, delegates created their code to navigate a real world AR drone (without crashing it!), learning how to break down a problem and tradeoff for the right values in Architecture, Design and Code. How to create the right number of tests to build the right level of confidence and how to enable Real Application Agility through Simplicity.

You can see the SkillsCasts (film, code, slides) of the day at: skillsmatter.com/event-details/home/russ-miles-practical-...
