This ruffle was soooo fiddly. Had some issues with attaching this, some due to operator error and some missing information in the instructions. Now this is complete and ready to attach front to back at shoulders. Fabric was underlined with white lining fabric.
bodice closeup. I think the bodice eyelets could have been lower as the bow conflicts with with neckline trim.

I used some stretchy poly-cotton left over from a skirt I made ages ago (it didn't fit), and for some reason already had the elastic, so I guess it was fate. Took three hours, maybe? Anyway, I'm dead proud of myself.

Vintage 1964 Simplicity sewing pattern 5642. Misses One-Piece and Two-Piece Dress in Proportioned Sizes. V. 1 dress is styled with a square neckline and tie collar, long set-in sleeves and a back zipper closing. V. 2 top is similar to dress but shorter. The slim skirt with darts and side zipper joins a waistband.

Simplicity Pattern 6809 Vintage 60s Misses Aprons - Fabric or Vinyl, dated 1966. This includes; Misses' Aprons: The apron V. 1 with tie ends stitched in front darts has pockets, lowered round neckline and back button closing. Apron V. 2 made of transparent or coated vinyl fabrics as well as other fabrics has back button closing, square pockets, armholes and neckline finished with grosgrain ribbon.
8837 DRESS IN TWO LENGTHS, AND SWIM-PANTDRESS IN MISSES’ AND HALF-SIZES. The sleeveless and collarless dress V. 1 & 2 with lowered round neckline have front zipper closing. Ankle length V. 1 with slits in side seams has patch pockets with scallop trim. The very short beach dress V. 2 has self fabric ruffle. The sleeveless & collarless swim-pantdress V. 3 & 4 with lowered round neckline have back zipper closing. V. 3 has button and scallop trim. V. 2, 3 & 4 may be worn with a self fabric tie belt.
Misses' Jiffy one-piece beach dress, playsuit and poncho: "Simple to Make" Straight sleeveless beach dress has bateau neckline and slit openings at lower edges. Tie belt is self fabric. Strapless playsuit is finished with elastic casing at upper and lower edges, and a purchased rope tie belt may be worn. One-piece poncho is sleeveless with slashed bateau neckline and contrasting fringe trim (purchased). Tie ends, sewn to underside at back, are brought around to tie at front. Fabric of poncho contrasts that of playsuit.

What fun, seriously, the giggle when it worked :-) |||| Ilford HP5 Plus at 400 ISO, processed in Agfa Rondinax Daylight Tank (better than expected) using Ilford Simplicity {ILFORD SIMPLICITY sachets contain ILFORD ILFOSOL 3 film developer, ILFORD ILFOSTOP stop bath, ILFORD RAPID FIXER and ILFORD ILFOTOL film wetting agent.} ||| Scanned using a cheap eBay scanner, still building my DSLR scanner, but this will do for proofs! Also have C41 chemistry and a Jobo tank for 120 so the Bronica will get a workout! Does film make you a better photographer? Who cares, it is just great satisfying fun!
