Made using Simplicity 2975 and Nicey Jane fabric. Green is Kona Cotton, but I can't remember the name... The pattern ran a little small for me. Be sure and measure your hips before you cut into your fabric!

Navy Blue Polyester silk fabric. October 2010

I think what Miss Blue is doing is called the "debutante slouch."

Miss Red Gingham totally looks like she's about to stuff that frog she's got hidden behind her back, down snobbish Miss Blue's bodice.

MISSES’ DRESS, JACKET AND COAT:

The collarless A-line dress with front dart interest has lowered round neckline, back zipper and short set-in sleeves. The lined coat and jacket with front dart interest has long set-in sleeves, “stand-up” collar, front bands and optional front button closing. Buttonholes are in seam of front band. The coat has pockets concealed in side seams. The jacket has optional welts, button and chain trim.

The ordinary acts we practice every day at home are of more importance to the soul than their simplicity might suggest.

My projects from Simplicity 4020 (two views and three garments so far.....)

This is my best photo for simplicity. I chose this photo since the building had an appealing pattern and the contrast between the building and the sky. I used Lightroom to first crop the photo and make the lines even and the building to the right less distracting. I also made my whites brighter because I really wanted the building to stand out against the blue sky. I also made the blacks a little darker so the pattern the windows make isn't disrupted by the items that you can see through them.

A simple macro shot of a flower, from certain wide angle, showing the full flat face of the flower....nothing but an eye-catching expression of simplicity in nature.

French seams and a hand sewn hem. Not sure I would bother with the button opening at the back if I did this again.

On the dress form - I inserted an invisible zip under the right sleeve, but probably didn't need it. Also you can see it may a bit short.
