Einstein and Santa, thanking the sponsors.
I don’t care where you are or what you believe, wishing you a Merry Christmas anyway, and a rewarding year to come!
The Victoria pub, Woolwich rd, Charlton, South East London.
Built in 1881 this once handsome looking pub has been abandoned since it's closure in the early 2000's. The pub was once a thriving part of the Woolwich/Charlton Dockyard community. As well as it's beautiful exterior the pub also had a unique sloping floor where regulars commented that you could feel slightly drunk before you had finished your first drink!
There are plans to try to save the exterior and incorporate with the new housing development....fingers crossed.
This week Canada Post replaced the “community mailboxes” that serve our little corner of Fallingbrook with these fancy new ones that have WAY MORE oversized parcel slots.
The previous mailboxes had the same number of mail slots, but only 2 oversized ones for parcels. Now there are 11!
Just goes to show how much more parcel delivery is happening vs 25+ years ago when the previous mailboxes were installed.
