Chop Suey (雜碎), literally meaning "assorted items", is a Chinese-American dish made of meat cooked with vegetables and noodles with a thick sauce. It is believed to have been created by Chinese cooks in the working on the Transcontinental Railroads from California in the 1890s due to limited fresh produce and meats. Though it was claimed to be the "National dish of China", the very name shows that it was, at best, a hurried dish. Chop Suey reached its heights in the 1940s, when "Chop Suey Houses", sprang up throughout the United States, their neon signs beckoning to Americans who wanted a taste of the exotic. The restaurants, and signs, are now fairly rare these days.

ODC-Sign(s)
This is the sign on the road around the corner. On my road it's 45 mph and just up the road its 55 mph. I think both are too fast considering how many people live in this area. It needs to be way less because people do not slow down, they keep going 55 mph!
Signs at a non-symptoms Covid-19 testing station. My test result was negative.
Held in a gym at London Road, Southend-On-Sea, Essex.
(moved from the Taco Bell, final days set)
Although standing in complete shadow, reflective glare mercilessly played havoc here. The barely readable delivery note shows good manners: Better be nice to your delivery personnel, LOL! It also confirms that the new Bell has taken on the 1117 address, as expected. The other note shows there was an unexpected 2-days of down time: likely Oct. 21 and 22, 2012.
As for the signage still adorning the old store, I thought by now it would surely have been removed. But around mid afternoon Nov. 1, 2012, it still remained intact. The sign crew is waiting to pounce the minute I give up trying to catch them, I'm sure!

Warn & Sons Brewery Sign in a cafe in Tetbury, Gloucestershire, 6 November 2021. Warn & Sons' Barton Brewery was established in 1766 in Tetbury and brewed Cotswold Ales. It merged with the neighbouring Witchell Brewery in 1903 but kept its separate identity until 1913 when both breweries were acquired by the Stroud Brewery, which closed the Barton Brewery in 1937.
Duffield station. I caught the red light and this. Last time through I managed only the caboose. Lots of old railroad signs!

The Province has designated the main highways around the Island as scenic routes. The bottom sign indicates the Central Coastal Drive which travels past several lighthouses.
A new distance sign at the horse farm in Kalvsvik. If you need to see it I do have a photo of Anita & Roffe's place.
At Wolverhampton Station in Wolverhampton.
The current station dates to 1967.
Sign of the station. Last year this was changed to Wolverine (when X-Men: Days of Future Past was coming out).
I thought this sign was interesting because of the graffiti on it, it was taken in the cemetary, yes I am the Countess LOL.
My friend Scott Phillips made a movie called The Stink of Flesh, and a few months ago he asked me to give a copy of it to Craig Ferguson (for reasons that are explained below). I have to say, this seemed like a strange request, since I live on the opposite side of the country from the guy, and it's not like we hang out together or anything. But, maybe this wasn't such a crazy request, because I did give him a copy tonight, when he was signing books after the book reading.
Me: I wanted to give you this DVD. My friend wrote and directed this movie.
Craig: Is it a zombie movie?
Me: It is.
Craig: I love zombie movies!
Me: I know! And apparently you had someone on the show and you were talking about zombie poop...
Craig: About whether zombies poop?
Me: Yes! And this movie has zombie poop in it!
Craig: Well thank you for that. And thank you for culturally elevating the evening.
Then he smiled like he was kind of teasing me, but he also seemed sincerely pleased about it. I don't even remember what I said next. I hope I said "I hope you enjoy it" or "You're welcome" but I probably said something kind of nonsensical like "thank you." I was so nervous I forgot to tell him I think he's hilarious!
