There was an array of signs out in the Saturday afternoon sun, from basic ones telling Mubarak to "get out" to more complex signs surveying the history of the American and egyptian presidents since the '80s (5 for America, 1 for Egypt).

Shut off the engine.
Everybody leaves the car.
Line up in front of the car with your hands on your head.
"Any questions on using this sign?"
A colleague of mine raised his hand and asked:
"What if the persons in question are illiterate...?"
The immediate response was:
"That could prove to be unlucky. For them."
The new Vespa dealership has replaced the old, weathered florist's sign with their shiny new one. I stopped in for the first time today. Wow! These are not your father's Vespas!

I am very familiar with this area... but the map on this sign makes no sense to me. I can't figure out just where it is!
Anyway, nudity on the beach is acceptable from the northern part of Belongil Beach for a long way north, up to Tyagarah Beach and beyond..... which is completely at odds with the formal nude area shown on this sign!!
Painted on the side of an abandoned building that once housed Pride's Laundry & Cleaners in Sheffield, Alabama.
They are signed and after performances they are taken outside by the dancers in hopes that someone who likes a particular dancer will buy one to help support ABT.
Note ice pack.... Im sure they are used a lot!
And .. note the ELLE magazine.... which we did a photo shoot for while we were in the city! See next phot on the set of the photo shoot.
This sign is 1/4 mile down the road from us. It is at the intersection with a dead end street, and lets you know what road you are on. My road changes its name 3 times in a half mile here, so it is useful. Things are confusing out here; you can't find us with a GPS. It's frustrating when delivery men can't find us, but kind of nice to be "secluded."

I noted that many official signs in our once quiet neighborhood tell us what we cannot do.

The Bay Area has no Las Vegas sign boneyard, yet. Until then, at least we have Jim Rizzo’s Neon Works. Jim and his team of five staff members do a lot of the restoration and new sign production in the area. www.neonwks.com/
A couple years ago my Wife & I had to sign our Daughters homework each night. I am not usually home in the evenings so the few times I was around to sign, I always added a little sketch to tell the teacher who I was. Apparently my daughter had saved these for a few years. Recently she decided to dispose of them. I took a picture of my favorites for posterity.
These are some of the signs I've taken down (without telling anyone) around my library since I've worked here. I think an uncluttered area is nicer, and that fewer good signs is better than lots of signs that no one reads. Read more of my complaining on my website.

"I took ALL of your jobs and I still can't afford HEALTH INSURANCE".
That'll happen when all our jobs don't pay a living wage and insurance is coupled to employment--
The customer waiting room at the dealership where I get our car serviced usually provides complimentary specialty coffees. Not these days, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.
