For ODC-Street Signs
2013-A Year In Photos-#40
This is one of the busiest corners in the Nobb Hill area of Albuquerque. It has 5 different streets merging at this point. It can get a bit congested here at times and it's got lots of signs. I only got a few in this shot. Interesting sign above telling the pedestrian to use the cross walk, but then above says "no pedestrians"...a tad confusing! I love the Model Pharmacy sign about the European Fragrances, it's a favourite of mine.
Thank You for any/all comments you may wish to add, I do appreciate them all.
Have A Warm, Safe and Terrific Tuesday.
Jo :)
For some reason, this place name makes me think of Biggus Dickus with his terrible lisp and not being able to pronounce the letter S. Maybe it was once called Seddlethorpe :o)
According to Mablethorpe online, Theddlethorpe is "a charming village on the East Coast of Lincolnshire, known for its traditional architecture, beautiful cottages and welcoming community"
I didn't really have time to find that out for myself, but looking at the sign, apart form the almost obligatory church, they grow a lot of wheat and have thatched cottages.
As an extra, the sign has been amended by the Dirty Mills Scooter Club!
Village Marketplace (77,605 square feet)
13100 Midlothian Turnpike, Midlothian, VA
This shopping center was built in 1987.
Ferrari 458 Speciale engine bay complete with signatures at the Ferrari Owners Club meet at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire.
Presumably these are the signatures of the Ferrari engineers that built it. Wonder if Ferrari charge extra for this?...Not sure If this option is available with the Focus ST but I’m thinking of asking for it anyway when I’m down at the Ford dealers so I know who to thank when a piece falls off.

Capitol Motel, State Street, Salt Lake City, Utah
Update 5/16/08: This sign has now been hideously damaged, probably destroyed..
Sign pointing to Svanrevet naturist beach (naturistbad) - official nude beach on the Swedish shore of Öresund.
Svanrevet is a sand reef located north of Skanör & Falsterbo - medieval towns on Falsterbonäset (Falsterbo Peninsula) in south western end of Skåne, in Vellinge komun. It is considered to offer some of the best sea bathing in Sweden.
More about this beach on Scandinavian Naturist Portal.

Signing my first book ever, "Folket under nordlyset/Álbmot guovssahasa vuolde/The people udner the northern lights" a book in three languages, and my own colourised photos from Sophus Tromholt's collection of 1882-1883!

This sign on a bicycle trail in Tan-dz Taiwan is odd because you just never see oxen and carts like this even in rural areas.
Our visit to Grandma & Grumpa's (Part of the Abbotsford Circle Farm tour).
Great little spot with plenty of items to reminisce over. If you're lucky, they may even let you take something home with you!
d65577a. This is unique in my experience - an area that you can drive right into and then go nude in and around your car!
This little sign was the only indication.
It was easy for people to drive into this area without having any idea that it was a nude area.
Indeed I saw this happen; a car with a couple and young children, who upon seeing nudists made a hasty retreat!
This area had evidently been like this for many years. But a year later the local council closed it off to cars and put up a large sign saying that nudity was only permitted on the beach.
Then from September 2015, the nude beach was abolished, which I think is the only time in Australia that a legal nude beach has been reversed.
Damn shame. We need MORE public nude places, as there are far too few of them around the traps!!!
Sign in the elevator down to the Atlas detector. I wonder if it is there to protect the poor door or the jaunty elevator rider.
A day at the National Trust's Clumber Park here in Nottinghamshire.
Spring 2026. Time well spent.
I heard on the grapevine about beavers being re-introduced. Here's what I saw :)

No Group Awards/Banners, thanks
For decades Arthur Sparr owned and operated this drug store/medical supply shop/luncheonette around the corner from Boston's famous hospitals in the Longwood medical area. It was one of the few places on earth where you could shop for a stethoscope while waiting for your turkey club. He closed the business in 2002 and the building was eventually sold to Harvard Medical School. Luckily this high-quality ghost sign remains. (#90 of 100 in the Boston Signage Project)
Vintage Toys R Us sign in Van Nuys, Los Angeles. I think that the "R" in the star is newer than the rest of the sign.
The old Rexall drug store sign in downtown lenoir city. The drug store is long gone but the sign still stand.
