Bridgnorth signal box is a Great Western Railway Company type 28b design fitted with a 30 lever Great Western Railway Company Vertical Tappet 3-bar frame opened as a non block post by the Severn Valley Railway in 1970. The signal box was built on the site of the previous signal box using a top moved from Pensnett signal box and a lever frame moved from Windmill End Junction signal box. The signal box was upgraded to a block post on 2nd June 1973. It was temporarily closed from 25th September 1977 until 6th August 1978 during which time a temporary block post was located in station masters office

The base of a signal post from the Edinburgh and Dalkeith Railway, part of the (perhaps) soon to be restored Waverley Route into the Scottish Borders. the local rabbits obviously come here to contemplate the meaning of life and do their rabbity business.
Placed in fresh water in dark place for 24 to 48 hours to flush out ( purge ) their digestive systems.

Hadlow Road Station , Willaston , Cheshire .
This Grade II listed Victorian station has been lovingly restored to appear as it did in the 1950s – complete with a signal box and a British Rail ticket office
I thought this was rather interesting - a color light signal with four lights. The colors are, in no particular order: red, green, white, and presumably (I didn't see this to confirm) yellow.

London 2012 - Volleyball - Ladies Final
Brazil v U.S.A. in the Ladies gold medal final.
U.S.A. hadn't lost a game all year and Brazil were embarassingly bad in the first set, but they sped up their attack massively and started getting clever with subbing their setters on and off to win 3-1.
The Brazillian setter Danielle signals the pay to her hitters. This is what I try to do; then the first ball is so bad I just have to stick it somewhere in the air.

Soon to be a thing of the past, as the semaphore signals at Barnetby/Wrawby Junction will be replaced by colour light signals in 2015.
CP 6045 and CSX 8592 glide westward at Duplainville as they prepare to cool their wheels for a meet with #8 and #280 at Pewaukee. These two units were on #280 yesterday. I believe this was identified as train 383. Love that '40 in the lead!
Mechanically locking Thuxton signal box.
Annetts locks (ex-Brandon) for the long section and two short section train staffs being aligned before being fitted in position and Block Shelf (also ex-Brandon) fitted (later removed and remounted without the use of the low horizontal bar behind the levers as it blocked the electric lock tappets).
The signalman at Tewkesbury Signal Box exchanges the single line token with the fireman on the branch train from Ashchurch to Upton-on-Severn. This was the final train on this line on its last day of service, 14 August 1961. The line to the left went to Healing' s Flour Mill on the Mill Avon River.
An example of a subsidiary shunting signal is seen here on EG39 (itself a home signal at Epping, P2).
As can clearly be seen, the mainline signal is at STOP (two reds). The smaller yellow light is steady, indicating that the points ahead are locked for the route set and a train may proceed, although the train must do so at a safe speed, as the line ahead may be occupied.
As can be seen in the route indicator, "TS" is showing, indicating the train is going into the Turnback Siding.
