Weaverthorpe Signal Box was built in 1873 and is a rather odd looking building. It is located 4 or 5 miles from Weaverthorpe itself and is located on the York - Scarborough line between Malton and Seamer. The gates also seen in the photo are still worked by a wheel mechanism located inside the box. It has a frame of 16 levers dating from 1933 and the box is now a listed structure.
It is also a good location for photos:

Biggar signal box is a type S4 signal box built by the Caledonian Railway in 1906 and is listed category "B" by Historic Scotland. It is situated at the eastern end of the station complex at Biggar. The station closed in 1950 and the signal box in 1959. The station buildings, signal box, platforms, railway cottage and goods shed survive but unfortunately a house has been built over the western end of the station.

This signal arm is genuine, but the rest - post, control rods and all - are a purely a decorative construct. The "signal" stands on the National Cycle Route 647 close to Fledborough Railway viaduct in Nottinghamshire. The cycle path follows the track bed of the former railway line across the River Trent at Fledborough (closed in the early 1980s), hence the signal.

This armored enclosure allowed signalmen to look for flag signals from other ships and to hoist signals of their own while in a protected location.
At Battleship Park, near Wilmington, North Carolina. I visited here the Battleship North Carolina (BB 55), a North Carolina-class battleship, now a museum ship. This battleship was launched in 1940 and commissioned in 1941 and served in World War II in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters. She has been at this location as a museum ship since 1962.

I hate it when people don’t use turn signals. I’m sorry, it just drives me nuts. Now if you’re in the middle of nowhere at a stop sign and don’t use your turn signal, who are you really going to influence or annoy? A cow? A Crow? Who cares? But in the city it’s a different story.
For me, turn signals are a courtesy to tell people around you “here’s what I’m doing so you can do what you need to do…” And when people can’t take that .5 seconds to hit the signal it just comes off as rude. It’s almost as if you’re saying “I’m too busy to do this… even though it’d really help you out.”
It’s hard coming up behind people who are about to pull out onto a really busy road. If they’re turning left and crossing four lanes of traffic, versus turning right and only having to enter one lane, odds are they’re going to be sitting there a long time. People who are turning right could go to another exit point- but we’re all left guessing because the person turning can’t seem to use their signal. Nice, buddy.
This is one where I wouldn’t just say it’s about turn signals- but bad drivers in general… and there are plenty of them here in San Antonio, and plenty of busy roads.
A further box visit back in October 2015 was Ulceby Signal Box.
Ulceby had evolved to cover quite a significant area compared with its original area. It had a reduced frame and an IFS panel. There was also room for a panel to cover Brocklesby but this never happened.
Sadly the box was demolished with undue haste following closure, before the local S&T even had time to recover equipment for spares, the box coming down with everything still in place.
Pacifastacus leniusculus.
An invasive species in the UK, the fungal "crayfish plague" that they carry has wiped out the native "white-clawed crayfish" in most regions of the UK.
They can be identified by their large size when fully grown, their claws are larger in comparison to body size with turquoise/white markings at the hinge and bright orange/red colour under the claws.

I recently had a shoot with the band Signal the Escape. I have wanted to work with this band for about a year now so when I got a message from Ivan, their guitar player I was super stoked. This shot if from our first location. We headed down to New Haven for our second location and I'll be sharing those shots as well. I'm hoping to get some feed back on this shot because I'm a kinda happy with it.
Amazing band. Such nice guys. They had a conference call with their manager right before I got there and we're all super stoked about some of the big things they have coming up. So happy for them.
Check them out!
