A sad sight. Growing up I came to this railyard to watch my grandpa build trains, and take them apart when they came in. One day I wanted to be an engineer, fast forward to 2019 and the whole engineer thing never panned out, and Tilford Yard has been abandoned by CSX as part of precision schedule railroading that is sweeping the industry. We see a CSX manifest switching crews on the mainline, shortly after this photo was taken the train continued south.
Fabrica's regular workshop, Second Sight. This workshop is a chance to experience the exhibition through other senses such as touch, smell and sound and is very popular with those with limited or poor sight.

Mike Apperson double bass
On Saturday, September 22 Hobo Alliance played at Harvest Sessions from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Hobo Alliance is a bluegrass band that isn't afraid to have a good time and sight whiskey as an influence. The set was the perfect match for a day at the Farmers' Market, energetic and sincere. The performance took place at the West Pool Pavilion in Tower Grove Park during the Tower Grove Farmers' Market.
The Hobo Alliance is how a bluegrass band close to their roots should sound. They have the twang, the harmonica and it all makes you wanna tap your toe. Lead singer, "Hobo Sam", sings about the experiences tone would expect from a world-weary traveler and the distorted vocals only emphasize this point. At times, the St. Louis five-piece slips into a little blues, like in the song "Good Time".
KDHX Community Media, The Whitaker Foundation and Tower Grove Farmers' Market present Harvest Sessions, which takes place at the Tower Grove Farmers' Market every Saturday through out the market's regular season. The performances are always free and open to the public.
