The original shop's relocation address is written on the wall that seals the shop.
Built in the 1920s, this residential compound has very basic facilities, and the property owners have been looking forward to this day for a long time. But for the tenants of the shops along the street, who have no say in the matter, they will have to look for another shop, which is obviously not a good situation.

The work displayed here is the right-hand half of a pair of hanging scrolls.
White and red peonies stretch diagonally out from the middle left section of the composition.
The swallowtail butterfly and two cabbage butterflies are depicted realistically owing to the influence of nineteenth-century treatises on natural history and encyclopedias.
However, the movements of the butterflies are based on standards found in painting manuals.

The white and yellow patterns on the body of the robust cicada perched in a tree and the wings of the tiger swallowtail butterfly are true to life.
The downward and sideway motions of moths as they fly are skillfully depicted.

What the Chinese call ‘street photography’ refers to the practice of posing in fancy costumes in places that are considered fashionable or upscale, and paying a professional photographer to take so-called ‘art photos’ of oneself - note that the person being photographed is not a professional model. And taking pictures of reality on the street all day like I do would be considered abnormal.

A fish tank with pet fish can be seen in the centre of the photo. The dog is lying prone in front of the shop, enduring the midday scorching heat.

On 28 March, the day after the announcement of the successive lockdown of Pudong and Puxi and the first day of the lockdown in Pudong, the city centre of Puxi was left untouched for the time being while a rush for food had happened.
This street corner, where the flower seller has always occupied, is a place of leisure for the fashionably wealthy. It seemed that he did not mind the impending lockdown of the city. Now the lockdown has been in place for more than twenty days, I wonder how people like this who make a living on the streets get by.
I visited Shama's new boyfriend, Tate, for the first time today. He's quite the active and amourous little fella. I think Shama is smitten, rightfully so!

The three people in front of the fence are the owners of the restaurant. The red color of the fence may symbolize the red chili peppers that are a specialty of Hunan cuisine, or the fact that Hunan is the birthplace of Mao. Amidst the red, however, is a blue sticker that reads “Reported” - a permit for the renovation that the owners have applied for from the local community authorities.
I have not seen one of these around my yard this year, but the neighbor's got lucky with a visit. This one is fairly young, it was quite small in size. She had lovely 'writing' in her web.

End visit of a day out in North Lancs was a sideway quick nip along the A590 to Foulshaw Reserve just to see what was on the feeders ... quite a few smart looking Tree Sparrows like this one were coming and going in a small flock along with all the usual feeder visitors .... I was alone and could park at an angle to take a few dying light of the day shots before heading for home .....
Standing on the mountain sideway waiting the daybreak, slightly color of sky was softly as touch of baby skin and the fresh air that never experienced in city life.

This was happened prior to landing. When airplane started turning sideway and going downward, it created a small angle for the light to reflect itself on the wing.

Contemplation in the light
Those need somewhere to go
Into the circling of the night
With some of its dowering glow

Such outright lies about Chinese-made vaccines have been everywhere as far back as last year and earlier this year. Between May 2021 and January 2022, the Shanghai authorities set up numerous vaccination tents or parked vaccination buses in the heart of the downtown area. The vaccines used in all these vaccination sites were developed by Chinese companies. The Chinese public was sceptical about their safety and efficacy. In order to encourage people to get vaccinated, the vaccination sites offered prizes or gifts for everyone who got vaccinated. Yet the Chinese vaccine has proven largely ineffective against Covid-19. So far, almost a year on, the outbreak in China is on the rise and getting worse. In fact, even those who received the vaccine were not granted the right to travel freely, and once they were judged to be the socalled 'closely contacted', jus like those who had not been vaccinated, they would still be locked up or even escorted to a concentration camp because the authorities knew that their vaccine was simply ineffective. Nevertheless, even the catastrophic two-month city-wide lockdown in Shanghai this spring and the current China-wide spread of the epidemic has not stopped them from continuing to brag about peddling those ineffective Chinese vaccines.

Cordons have been up all along the streets of the city centre, and in a few hours, steel plates will be erected in their places to enclose each block.
Ji Ji Dry Cleaner's, 71 Yongkang Road, is a well-known shop on this street. The young man on the right in the picture is taking a picture of the owner of the dry cleaners before the lockdown, using the police cordon as a foreground.
