Hann tends to look rather fierce in his photos, he makes out he's a big tough boy, whereas inside he is all soft and gooey..nervous himself of strange sounds. He thought he heard something unusual here.

Unfortunately, a slight breeze had sprung up by mid morning ruffling what I had hoped to be a mirror like reflection
Starting a new photo project and in need of some support to get it off the ground so please check out my latest post on my tumblr blog for details, thanks everyone!

This shot was taken a while ago at the MELBOURNE NGV. After watching Stranger Things this pic sort of reminded me of the "upside down".

Good morning all,
Although I am primarily a wildlife photographer, the reality is that there is more to wildlife destinations than just wildlife.
While travelling through Madagascar one will hopefully get to see plenty of lemur species, chameleons, and frogs. However, while in the country one will run across a ton of locals along the typically slow and challenging roads.
In this case, we made a quick stop for a 'bush break', and came across this beautiful young lady. At first she was a bit shy with our presence(probably more mine than my team's). However, after a few minutes of getting to know us(and a peanut purchase), she became more comfortable in front of the camera and posed in a relaxed and comfortable manner for me. Note, the cell phone that I left purposely in the image to help better tell a story.

Golden light...when the sun began to peak from the overcast clouds I began to worry that the morning was over. But something interesting happened..a warm yellow glow appeared across the scrub vegetation making for a beautiful capture on this Chestnut-sided Warbler.
Some failed attempt for the History series that didnt make the cut. Not bad enough to discard, not good enough to include. On to the next one!

Early morning visit to the Manavgat river site.
This a totally flat area which, driving along the track, starts with fields then degenerates into what looks like a dumping ground for builders waste. There are numerous sand excavations leaving low areas some 6 ft deep. The rubble seems to be going into these holes. Towards the river mouth one such excavation still had water in it (15x30 yards) but the rest were dry. There were supposed to be lots of drainage ditches housing herons and egrets etc but most of these seem to have gone to the extent I didn't see a single heron of any description during my 3 visits.
On the drive down to the wet area I had 3 bee-eaters and 2 (male) red-footed falcons but it was too dark to photograph them. The little wet area housed approx 15 little stints plus common, wood and curlew sandpiper and a spur-winged plover
The afternoon sun shining through a window did a great job of emphasizing the chrysanthemum petals in this bouquet.

There were several of these in The Tree but they kept themselves well hidden most of the time.
I'd only ever seen one of these before and that was a juvenile at Sandwich, England so finding some on my first day was a great start to the holiday.
He looks so big with all the hair, but actually he is very skinny!!! With this side wind you can finally see that!!
Happy Furry Friday!!!!
The warm glowing light on the foreground due to the rising sun nicely complemented Carn na Feola and Liathach in the background.
The Saudi Union for Turkish Pigeon Breeders held a pigeon fair on 25-3-2016 not far away from my house. Unfortunately, I couldn't find an internet site for this Union.
The biggest problem was that all pigeons were in cages. This affected photograph taking. The photo above is the best one I could shoot.

Last shot from day 1 and taken on the track north/east of the Manavgat river. I think it was the only northern wheatear I saw.

I am an amateur with no professional lighting equipment. No speed light, no light box, no reflectors, etc. To get this shot I used two desk lamps for the side lighting with pieces of cardboard to narrow the light’s path. I also used a single LED light reflecting off white posterboard to subtilely light the dark side of my face.
