During the quarter-final match England vs. Sweden, which I watched in my favourite Donaukanal bar Adria. The latest contribution to my series 'Shot from the Beer Table'.

How is it possible that someone who likes football as much as I do can be distracted from such an important match? Muddy Waters will tell you the answer in this song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iv4bMErP07o

I love watching orcas swim along with their family. They tell us the importance of family and happiness is by our side.

ODC ... side by side ...

I had the good fortune of being able to see Niagara Falls at night in all the cold, snow, and ice of this past weekend - and came away from it with a ridiculous number of images but just couldn't stop myself. This is one of my favorites of the American side.

Cape Du Couedic Lighthouse

I thought I would explore my lighter side for a change. This was another attempt at a high key b&w but it all went horribly wrong and ended up as a grey sludge. So, it is now a colour shot and I think this one does look better with a border.

This is a very familiar location to me, but, it is the first time I have shot it with a telephoto. It is interesting how you see things differently with a longer lens.

So tell me why?

You deal with my devil side,

deal with my dangerous mind

but never me?

Careful the tide is coming in and you will be washed away...

I just love the depth of the reflection in the water. Do you like hiking to mountain lakes?

Taken at Roseberry Topping last night ... the sky was quite heavy with cloud, but there was a small gap to the left & the setting sun managed to peak out fro a brief 30 seconds illuminating the hill & fields below with some gorgeous warm light ...

Side by Side is a picture of North America's two cranes. The one in from the Whooping and in one in back the Sandhill. You can often find them together in the same groups. Lovely birds.

Where I wanna be right now!!

True America lies always on the country side.

I may be too skinny or I may be too fat..

But will you tell me please, what is wrong with that?.

I may not have a mansion or even a nice car..

And my face may have more than just one ugly scar..

Does that mean I'm different?. Does that mean I'm strange?.

Does that mean I roam alone on this earths gigantic range?.

We all are one in Gods great eyes I hope that you can see..

That you and I are equal and that's how life should be..

So reach deep down inside your heart and find the love you hide..

And do not judge me, be my friend and I will always be by your side..

It's another BOO HOO BLUE MONDAY at Pinkalicious... !! Just say'n !! ;)

I'm sorry to keep ULing file photos this week. I haven't picked up my camera for anything but the paper in days. Although I will say that looking through old photos with new eyes has me liking shots that I previously hated. I think you all should try it. ;)

And just as a side bit of trivia, this is one of the apples from the light bulb shot awhile back. It's always good to make the most of one's subject and one's money -- especially when ruining perfectly good produce by screwing light bulbs into it.

This happened to be my FOY Chestnut-sided Warbler. Better late than never.

Another shot of an olive-sided flycatcher that I came upon last week.

Side is a medieval street in Newcastle upon Tyne. The street today begins by the St Nicholas' Cathedral in the city centre and runs past the Black Gate and takes a steep descent down to Sandhill on the Quayside. It's name derives from location on the side of a hill.

Grizzly Bear sow in profile.

This image reminds me of the theme song of the tv series "weeds". If you ever watched the opening of that tv show you will know what i mean :)

thanks for all your support and feedback. And if you would like any of my photos printed please visit my website. there are multiple sizes available and different finishes including, canvas, metallic paper, acrylic mounted etc.

I've looked at clouds from both sides now

From up and down and still somehow

It's cloud illusions I recall

I really don't know clouds at all
