This is the other side of Vestrahorn and the mountains nearby. In May, I didn't get this far and I'm so glad I did in December. The area east of Hofn and up the Lækjavík coast is stunningly beautiful.

I have more images of Iceland in winter and, if you like, you can also take a look at the pictures from my two trips to Iceland.

Piazza delle Erbe (Market's square) is a square in Verona, northern Italy. It was once the town's forum during the time of the Roman Empire.

The northern side of the square is occupied by the ancient town hall, the Torre dei Lamberti, the Casa dei Giudici ("Judges' Hall") and the frescoed Mazzanti Houses. The western side, the shortest one, features the Baroque Palazzo Maffei, decorated by statues of Greek gods. It is faced by a white marble column, on which is St. Mark's Lion, symbol of the Republic of Venice.

The north-western side occupies the site of the ancient Roman Capitol Hill, which looked towards the forum. Numerous of its buildings facing the square have maintained façade frescoes. On the southern side is the crenllated Casa dei Mercanti ("House of the Merchants", also known as Domus Mercatorum), now the seat of the Banca Popolare di Verona. Other buildings, the tall houses of the Ghetto, are reminiscent of medieval tower-houses.

The square's most ancient monument is the fountain (built in 1368 by Cansignorio della Scala), surmounted by a statue called Madonna Verona, which is however a Roman sculpture dating to 380 AD. Also historical is the capitello, dating to the 13th century, during which it was used for several ceremonies, including the oath of investment of the city's medieval podestà and pretors. Towards Via Cappello is another column, with a 14th-century aedicula with reliefs of the Virgin and the Saints Zeno, Peter and Christopher

Delicate arch is arguably the most iconic location shot during sunset in Utah. It was a weekend marred by rain and cloudy sky , except for a few minutes during sunset on Sunday when the sun broke through the clouds to shine some light on Delicate Arch . While I got a few pictures of the western face of Delicate arch, i quickly ran to the other side (exercise caution in doing so) , to catch the glimpse of last light from setting sun litting the bottom face of delicate arch . This is what I got. Please let me know your thoughts on this.

When I took this photograph I was thinking this is how I feel. I feel disconnected from the world, society and my happiness because I'm trapped inside this dark passage but every time I move forward the tunnel keeps expanding and that I'll never reach the outside

Aspen trees in Colorado

These flowers seemed interesting almost like the stamen and pistils were little arms comming to grab something. I really liked the curve of them as well. I cant remember the type of flower this is so feel free to let me know that as well.

This was taken using my lightbox with the black cloth for the background along with the Grid over my flash that i had shown in one of my previous photos. I had used some macro filter to get a bit closer on this one

Feel free to comment or criticise i appreciate both.

The greek theatre of Segesta, nestling in the side of Mt. Barbaro, today commands a spectacular view of the Gulf of Castellamare. First built from the late 4th to early 3rd century BCE, the theatre as it is seen today dates to the 2nd century BCE. Originally it had 29 rows of seats (the lower 21 survive) divided vertically into seven sections by access steps. The capacity would, therefore, have been around 4,000 spectators. The theatre is supported by a containing wall constructed of limestone blocks. The orchestra, scene building (once decorated with scenes connected to the pastoral god Pan), and entrances (paradoi) on either side have been lost. The theatre continues to host theatre events and Greek dramas throughout the summer months.

I suppose if you had to describe the English countryside this could be it, the rolling fields, billowing clouds, hedgerows it’s all here. Of course we have so much more which would easily put the mundane scene into the shade. But when you see a scene like this you can here the skylarks sing and you must have no romance if your heart does not sing as well.

its always nice, the view from the bridge. but imagine this view with nothing but the ocean in front of you. now that I wanna see

Even the back side of a flower is interesting.

Breeding birds show yellow cap, black triangle under eye, streaked back and reddish-brown sides. Looks remarkably different in fall with distinctive lime green above and gray below with bold white eyering. Breeds mainly in secondary forests, especially areas with large shrubs and young trees. Does well in disturbed habitats, particularly power line cuts and areas that have been logged. Forages for insects. Winters in Central America.

Sometimes when you can't shoot the main show (in this case due to the huge amounts of spray coming off Shine Falls, visible in the background of this shot), you have to shoot the side show instead.

Side (Σίδη) (meaning pomegranate) is located in the region of Pamphylia in Anatolia (modern-day Turkey) and was both a prosperous Aegean trading centre in Hellenistic and Roman times and a base for Cilician pirates in the 1st and 2nd centuries BCE.

One of the first things you notice on arrival at the site is that modern Side is a tourist town. However, it is also one of the best preserved classical sites in Turkey. The ancient city of Side is found on a small peninsula measuring about 1 km by 400 m.
