A westbound Z train gets the jump on an autorack train at Watts, near Dilworth, Minnesota. The Z will make a quick crew change before heading toward Minot on the Surrey cutoff. The autorack train will wait a bit longer for a fresh crew before also heading to Minot, but taking the long way through Grand Forks. (Note: a wire was clone stamped out of the original photo.)
Leipzig's Christmas Market has its centre on the Market Square in front of the Old Town Hall, where you will also find the Christmas tree decorated with lights and the nativity scene. There I didn't manage to take photos, because it was too crowded. But from the Market Square, the Christmas Fair spreads out over large parts of the city centre, sometimes with special attractions such as this ferris wheell, which normally is very well frequented.
True that Life is not a bed of roses, but it's not a path full of thorns as well. . .roses and thorns, good and evil, joy and grief, all come side by side. Train yourself to see the whole picture, the bright side as well as the dark side. . .but don't forget that It's only when we decide to look beyond the thorns, we are able to enjoy the beauty of a rose.
This Arabian foal is standing next to his mon and it's interesting to compare their colours. The mom is a so-called flea-bitten grey, a white / grey horse with darker speckles. In flea-bitten greys the speckles are in their original coat colour. You can see here that the colour of the mother was about the same as the colour of her foal when she was a foal herself. The greying process occurs at different rates, sometimes it takes several years.

I just love this picture of us together. I think Angela looks radiant, what do you think?
Day in and day out, no mater the weather, we're out for our walks four times a day.
Some are routine, others are adventures, but side by side is a constant.
Went out for sunrise this morning with My big Bro jimbri378 who hasn't been out with His camera for ages, We decided on Blyth as there was plenty to shoot and He had not done Blyth beach before. We were treated to a fantastic sunrise, it really was on fire this morning, and what do you know, as soon as we hit the beach I spotted this branch so of course the polite thing to do was drag it to the waters edge and take its photo LOL!! Took this shot from the other side of the branch looking down towards Seaton Sluice and St Mary's Island.
There was also a few good lads scattered up the coast so be sure to check out their shots from this morning:
Jim Brightwell at Blyth with Me.
Ed Bookless was up at Newbiggin.
Allan England and Phil Whittaker were at Tynemouth.
Simon Lowe was at St Mary's.
Tom Hill was at Blyth too, but I missed Him.
Jim Thow was at Cullercoats.
Mike Ridley was down Whitby.
Please click on their names to view their shots, there are some stunners!!
I spent much of life looking at this bridge from the Hessle side of the water and remember going there regularly with my Dad to see it being built.
I've not spent much time look at this structure from the Barton side of the Humber. Personally I think you get much better view and also you get a greater sense of the size of this bridge.
Two the same is the basic definition of symmetry. Here the garden center has planned and executed a setting based on two the same, one for each side of the bench. You'll also notice the plant displays and flags also follow suit.
Roseate Spoonbills are fairly approachable as bayou birds go but this Horsepen regular is particularly accommodating. Canoe boy (who coincidentally just posted a shot of my good side) and I had a nice chat with him the other day as he rested between forays in search of aquatic worms and insects.

Beautiful bright colors abound wherever you look during the
annual Flower and Garden Festival, held every March-May.
It features fantastic gardens and amazing Disney topiary.
Could not have been a more beautiful day! Come and visit!
The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, inaugurated in 1994, uses specially themed floral displays throughout the park, including topiary sculptures of Disney characters. Guests can meet gardening experts and learn new ideas they can use in their own home gardens. The 30th annual event is scheduled for March 1, with an extended run of two months, leading up to July 5. Each event takes more than a full year to plan and more than 20,000 cast
member hours. Just a joy to behold annually in Central Florida.
