Another shot taken shortly after the previous upload. SY Class locomotive No 1225, standing next to diesel locomotive D4DD-0288, prepares to move off with a rake of empty coal wagons to the nearby colliery. Both locomotives are owned by the Wu Jiu Coal Group. Wu Jiu, Inner Mongolia, China.
A detail of a wall in a hotel lobby in Rome, Italy. The appeal of this shot is not the symmetry but the subtle difference in color and light from the right to left side.
Dear friends,
Sending you hugs and love!
Enjoy your weekend!!
PleaseView LARGE On Black it's really worth it!
"Two sided views of a point in a black hole".
Some are always in darkness while others are blinded by views at time not even their own, then not knowing how to find their ways in life, they stop fighting".
Seek help and it will be given, speak truth and you will feel right, say evil and no peace is yours. Another few cases of women homicides at the hands of their partners in the last week in my city.
PS: you have an opinion, please speak out, the more voices "Maybe - just maybe" we women will be taken seriously in this matter.
How did your weekend go? Despite the bad weather predictions we decided to roll the dice and hit the shore yesterday. That short window of time when the sun was blasting golden light on to the city was worth the fact that we needed to get up at 4 am. I decided to go with long exposure and use the water and cloud texture to emphasize the city. What do you think?
Despite it being a full hour before sunset, this was the last light cast on the Langdale Pikes on a gorgeous October afternoon. A four shot stitched panorama
Quite snowy winter this time. This is my favorite places in the town at dark, as some of the lights are LED and some fluorescent. At least judging by the colour.
The Sea Side from Hongkong Island is a very busy Place

Mendocino is a California town with great food and art. It sits on a rocky headland with a scenic trail. We liked to follow it around and then come back over a hill to the starting point. There are fine views of the coastal rocks and wave action as seen in this image taken on the north side. It is meditative to sit and watch the waves surge through them.
A short while after sunrise in the woods west of Kloempken Prairie and east of the Des Plaines River.
Have a nice week!
This is Groombridge Place again, but here you see a north-facing side door and a bridge over the moat that leads directly into the gardens. The manor house was rebuilt in 1662 and replaced an earlier manor that had origins in 1230. If you'd like to know more about its famous architect, please read under my photo 'A Crowd of White Daffodils'.
There are more photos of Groombridge Place in my album with the same name. [Explored on 1/3/2024, #207]
A hosta and an ivy grow side by side in perfect harmony in the garden, complimenting each other as shown here.
Another from the same shoot as the last image but this one was a little earlier in day. I loved how the side light was illuminating the leaves and trunk of the little mangrove tree.

CSL #31 crosses Ewing Avenue on Chicago's "east side" with seven cars from the Illinois International Port. The East Side gets its name from its location along the east bank of the Calumet River; it is actually a part of the greater South Side.
This was my first attempt at having a go at Vickers, VA. Sadly, the sky was heavily overcast and it took two more attempts before I got the shot what I wanted. Personally, I like this side of the Structure better because of the various openings which are missing on the other side. For reference, pasting the link of the other shot. May 27, 2017.
