Gibraltar, even though a British possession, seems to follow Spain's practice of displaying its windows and accompanying shutters in a unique and interesting style.

They took maybe 100 TIMES the photos I took. These folks are shutterbugs. (still photo taken with video camera)
I saw many of these gulls down by the lake. One of the most obvious traits of these gulls are that they are often white, and when on the ground they are frequently found on sandy areas near bodies of water. While they aren't the same pigment of the sand, they certainly can blend in more than if they were in a greener or grassier areas near the beach. Aside from beaches being closer to water, this also makes me wonder if this has helped the gulls to be safer from predators when they are on land. These gulls also are able to eat a wide array of food. This digestive feature must also make it easier for the gulls to reproduce as they have more options for survival than other types of birds. Lastly, many gulls are often found by the dozens. I wonder if congregating in groups over time this has helped them identify and fend off predators more successfully than if they were alone.

Bigger aperture numbers mean smaller hole! (ie. 2.8, 4, 5.6, 8 etc really means f/2.8, f/4, f/5.6 etc)
Bigger shutter speeds mean shorter intervals! (ie. 30 means 1/30th second, 60 means 1/60th second etc).
If you increase the aperture *size* by one stop (say from f/8 to f/5.6) you can decrease the shutter speed by one stop and still get the same exposure. ie. 1/30th to 1/60th.
