These photos are additional images that I have taken while experimenting with the shutter speed on my camera. I collaborated with a friend on her art project to create these photographs using coloured lights. We used glow sticks to "paint" shapes in the air while the camera's shutter remained open for eight seconds. I had never experimented with light painting before and wasn't sure what to expect from the outcome, but I was pleased with the results. Prior to light painting, I experimented with shutter speed for my own project by taking photos of my friends moving their heads around while the shutter was open for four seconds. As previously mentioned, the resulting blurriness represents movement and fluidity.
