I was not planning to take this one, saw an airplane flying by, picked up the camera and pressed the shutter button without thinking, not changing anything on the camera, therefore 190mm not 300mm, therefore heavily cropped to ~3.5Mp.

I saw these shutters one day placed outside a workshop. I gave them a bit of a photoshop treatment so they wouldn't look so boring

1/50 Shutter., this time gliding... which made the subject more stable for panning (wing flapping invariably causes body movement)
I find this sort of photography fun and challenging., and it creates the opportunity for something quite ordinary (a Heron flying past) to become something extraordinary in a photographic sense

A pair of old shutters cover a window from the evening sunshine in Skiathos Town. The paint is old and flaky but still shows the classic Greek colours of White and Blue.
Magical Sunset.
A long exposure using a 10 stop filter to slow down time, provides a lovely cotton wool like texture of the sea.

Just a little play with motion after seeing a lecture at the local camera club using shutter priority at St Mary's Bay Beach.
With Golden Mile Complex set to undergo redevelopment in the very near future, places and icons such as the deck area and its surroundings will be somewhat missed.
As the complex is gazetted for conservation by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) however, it will be interesting to see how the new developers will attempt to preserve elements of the building in their new vision. For the time being however, these shopfronts are likely to be shuttered for the near future.
