Part 2 of 2fer Tuesday.
A filler shot of a bottle of shells. None of which I collected but bought at some point to use in photos (though not quite like this). I need to dig out the macro filters, the light box and the ring flash and have a play with the big camera. Weekend project possibly.

One of Ruth's shell images printed small, 6.5x4.5, It was probably a 5x7 negative contact print when she was still using view cameras. It is beautifully lit and arranged on wood that has a similar texture and pattern. She loved seeing those connections in nature. Her apartment was filled with natural artifacts. Please see the notes under the other shell photograph in this collection.
The fisherman cast his net into the sea, and he pulled out an adorable bracelet and earrings set! This is one of my favorite pieces - especially the earrings!
Both pieces are made from a combination of shells and faux pearls. The bracelet also has a cute little roly-poly fish charm.
The bracelet is currently 8 inches (20.3 cm) long. The dangle earrings are just shy of 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm) long.

I fell madly in love with this shell curtain!
This one was on the veranda of the shell shop at Pawleys Island but they were also inside on the front window.
Mmmm...seaside living!
This is the perfect summer necklace for a night out or just a relaxing BBQ in your backyard with friends.
The necklace measures 17" in length and looks great with higher necklines or a deeper cut out.
The 1.5 - 2" long shell beads catch and reflect the light in a subtle way and their shape adds some drama to your neckline. No fancy dress needed here!
The shell beads are interspersed with amber colored lampwork glass beads (10mm squares and 8mm rounds) that have sparkling metallic copper streaks enclosed.
You can find this necklace and matching earrings in my Etsy store at nikkisstudio.etsy.com
My spatial design project designing a shelter based on an organic shape. I chose a shell and decided to photograph it in-depth. I made a wire frame and covered it in mod rock to form my shell like structure.
