Forrestt scoping out the view from the top of the oceanside trail between Avila Beach and Shell Beach. No, guys, you can't see any naked girls on the nude beach from here.
Taken 1-16-2009 at the opening of the "Ebb & Flow" exhibit at the Huntington Beach Art Center. The exhibit celebrates the City's centennial with historical artifacts, photos, documents, etc.

How bout a seascape? This long exposure was taken back in March down below the Palisades park in Shell Beach, just a few yards from the stairs. The sunset had next to no color at all on this night but with an exposure of 50 seconds the subtle blues above the fog are brought out and the motion of the tides are slowed down, making a nice contrast with the rugged foreground.

This was among the last photos I captured on Skye before heading back to Edinburgh for my flight home.
The bluff where the woman is standing is known as Cnoc Mòr a’ Ghrobain in Gaelic. It offers a wonderful view of the beaches and Loch Dunvegan. She seemed to be taking in the scene, as if she were committing it to memory in lieu of a photograph. It seemed fitting for one of my last pictures here.
Changeable weather can be a pain! I choose to go out early afternoon, there was a nice light coming from a hazy sun and no significant areas of heavy cloud. Go to John O'Groats, and if anything better sunshine. By the time I had reached the beach, a Bloody great Black Cloud had appeared and sat over the sun, the occasional shaft of sun light would appear, but this always seemed to be at the wrong moment! We are also back to the tropical temperatures of 14 to 15 °C, certainly not complaining about that.

Shells and fragments of them make up this beach on Shell Key across the channel from Pass-A-Grille, Florida. Shell Key is a beautiful, natural, hotel and road free, barrier Island that is protected as a County Nature preserve.
Shell beach, Isle of Purbeck, Dorset: This is number 8 on the top ten beaches in the world. It isn't known to be the most beautiful but it is relaxing with it's vintage attributes. There is great restaurants, and many activities for the guests to do. Although it isn't far away from the mainland, it still has a very relaxing getaway vacation feel to it.
Taken in late autumn so the grasses were tall, maybe 5-7 feet (hard to judge precisely because I was so far beneath them).
