Highway 1 and 101 are one and the same here. A major artery for us SLO County peeps. Not a bad drive, though, huh?

With the 24-70 on my 5d I finally feel as if I can breathe again. I know the 50 1.4 is a wonderful lens, but I've never felt comfortable with it....give me a wide angle and something different happens when I look through the camera.....to use a horrid pun - something just clicks :)
(I still want to go wider, but all things in good time).
Pismo Beach / Slo County / Calif / Central Coast
On the edge of the rocks in the heart of Pismo Beach, California. The high tides pound the "marble" cliffs, as they have for thousands of years- carving them out to a smooth texture you must feel to believe. The shapes of the nearby cliffs are unlike any other on the central coast.

Peron pensinsula Fence reaching into the waters of Shark Bay, WA.
Project Eden is a conservation project that aims to turn back the tide of extinction and ecological destruction in the Shark Bay World Heritage Area.
For this reason a 'Feral Proof Fence' has been constructed reaching from one end right across the Peron peninsula to the other.
Feral invader species, such as cats, foxes, rabbits and goats are being removed from the peninsula to give the indigenous animals a protected area to rebuild their numbers.

Taken 1-16-2009 at the opening of the "Ebb & Flow" exhibit at the Huntington Beach Art Center. The exhibit celebrates the City's centennial with historical artifacts, photos, documents, etc.
