With the house lights on, the shadows were cast forward and I saw my chance.
This photo along with those below of Todd and Steve were part of a collection of three that I had framed together at Get Cutie and which first caught the eye of the Commissioner.

Picked up a set of Miesha's Portuguese Tree Cork Grips from Rivendell. www.rivbike.com/product-p/gt5.htm
I put two layers of shellac on per Schmitty's instructions. Since the grips are on the short side, I put some cloth tape between brake levers and grips and shellacked 'em too. (Would have twined it to keep it up to Rivendell standards, but couldn't find my twine.) And glued the grips to bars with Gorilla Glue. I used a bit too much, as it was my first time using this glue, so you can see where it seeped out, especially through a crack on the left grip. (The crack due to my stupidity, of course.) They look nice, eh?
