A couple stops after their beach walk to enjoy looking at the photos they have taken together.
Grand Bend,Ontario.
When a rare winter storm blew in our area recently, I was able to do a lot of bird watching! And of course that meant taking lots of pictures.
Because there were so many photos, I decided to break them up into a series of themed photos, showing off some of the highlights like here - with a male Downy Woodpecker and a Pine Warbler sharing a suet feeder.
Here is the final series of photos called simply - At the Feeder. Hope you enjoy!

The 45 meter high tower in its woodland environment is possibly one of the most photographed tourist attractions in Zealand.

Students in association with Audubon's Strawberry Plains are currently excavating the remains of seven share cropper homes found on the Strawberry Plains property.
The sites are being examined for their historical significance. The structures are thought to be as old as the late 1800s, and as recent as the early 1900s.
Sorry I've been a bad Flickr friend. I've still been viewing your streams, and I'm still taking photos regularly, but I haven't had the chance to post them yet.
Sunrises are always better when they are shared with friends. Three doe's grazing in the fresh morning dew.

This was my third trip out to photograph the share cropper homes at Audubon's Strawberry Plains.
At this time, the homes (now nothing more than shacks) are being examined for their historical significance. The structures are thought to be as old as the late 1800s, and as recent as the early 1900s.
Conrail Shared Assets WPCA-20 shakes the windows along 3rd Street in Moorestown, NJ on a daily basis. In fact, it is the only train to shake the windows here anymore.
Spicebush Swallowtail butterflies share a meal of nectar from a Tall Thistle wildflower on a hot August day at Young Conservation Area.

A quick interruption of my new "season of orange" series. Why? As mentioned not too long ago, geeps in the street. In this case though, light power. I'm sure most people would find it necessary to bitch about the lack of freight, but anything street running is nice enough for me (though yes, obviously actual manifest would be appreciated). Whatever way you spin it, two more CSS 2000s head west down 10th St. Some last-minute decision making led to not following this crew, as I wanted to take my chances with the aforementioned Olive crew hitting the street with their freight to head west. We watched them do it, two hours later of course - well after last light had been reached.
Aside from the streetrunning, one would be VERY hard pressed to find any good reason to stand around in this neighborhood of Michigan City. Or, maybe you find entertainment in drug addicts high as all hell approaching you and watching a drunken domestic dispute unfold a few houses down from where you decide to shoot. I don't know, it's pretty hilarious to me most times...
