At this time of year I always like to post photos as a way of showing my respect to those that made the ultimate sacrifice. Taken at a local war memorial it was nice to see a father and daughter also sharing that respect.
This is a close-up of the Robber Fly (Asilidae) I posted a few days ago with a clearer view of the small lunch guest slurping the slops from the bee the Robber Fly is feeding on.
Kinda gross, but interesting!
Turtles and White ducks share Fort Lowell Park's pond in the warm midday sun of an early spring day.
This iPhone 6 Plus camera was not very sharp so it was replaced free of charge at the Apple store in Tucson's Encantada Mall. I still liked some of the photos.

This is a creative version of the "pink twilight" photo I posted yesterday. Inspired by Inception, I mirrored the image so that San Francisco high rises touch each other.
The original exposures are taken at the Twin Peaks and processed into a balanced HDR photo.

(EXPLORED - #16) After the last posting and finding out what you all thought might be a perfect gift, I decided maybe a little "love" was in order for today as well! Here's hoping that you are gifted with many loved ones to enjoy day after day! (And I also feel the flickr love from all of you who visit and have become friends!!)
ps: The 2 little gerbils above belong to friends, the white one rarely stays still for a second and although he's a little blurry, I was just thankful that I got a somewhat decent picture of him at all!

In the 11 yrs that I have been here I have never until this past weekend been to this far end of the beach...in the forground many people in jump off these high rocks into the sea along with sea kayaking..

In the Middle Ages, Venetians, Genoese and Rhodians built two fortresses along the coast, but by the 15th century Olympos had been abandoned. Today the site attracts tourists, not only for the artifacts that can still be found (though fragmentary and widely scattered), but also for its scenic landscapes supporting wild grapevines, flowering oleander, bay trees, figs and pines.

Work colleagues share a joke across the platform at Preston which was obviously rather funny; with 37 409 Lord Hinton standing in platform 3 having arrived with 2C32 05.15 Carlisle to Preston. Cheers to Dalzell and Jumper for pointing out who I had inadvertently captured!!
In every shot I took, one or the other was facing away from me. Gave up and kept 2 shots.
