Gold survives the fire that's hot enough
to make you ashes in a standard urn.
An envelope of course official buff
contains your wedding ring that wouldn't burn.
Dad told me I'd to tell them at St. James's
the ring should go in the incinerator.
That "eternity" inscribed with both their names is
his surety that they'd be together, "later".
I signed for the parcelled clothing as the son,
the cardy, apron, pants, bra, dress-
The clerk phoned down, 6- 8- 8- 3- 1?
Has she still her ring on? (Slight pause) Yes!
It's on my warm palm now, your burnished ring!
I feel your ashes, head, arms, breasts, womb, legs,
sift through its circle slowly, like that thing
you used to let me watch to time the eggs.

I really liked how my ship looked in grey, so I figured I'd share it with you all to see what you thought :) . Comments appreciated, thanks for stopping by!
Incredible edibles in Castries.
Ah, here we are, at the beginning of September, the first colours of what may well be my favourite food are appearing. Well, as they're growing in a square near the first communal compost bins, there's no doubt that someone else will be able to harvest them. And that's what sharing tomatoes is all about.

as you probably already know, i don't have my camera. it needs to be fixed and it should take a month. it's been one week already and i miss taking pictures so much. today, as i was going from school, the sun was shining. after extremely long time. the sun showed it's face i barely remembered and it made me happy. first thought was-i wish i had my camera. and it made me sad that i didn't have it.
why should not having my camera make me sad? i still see what i see. and it should still make me happy. i realized i take pictures because i want to share them. that's also good, but i don't always take them for myself, i think of sharing it first. i feel like if i don't share a moment, it's meaningless. i don't want to. i want to experience it, without capturing it, without sharing it.
so this month, is for myself. i won't be sharing. i share so much sometimes. i won't take pictures of moments, of feelings. i will experience it, i will feel it, i will live it. and for once, i will keep the memory only in my heart, not in a picture, not in a blog post, not in sharing. it will be fully mine.
some moments just can't be captured, or shared, or said. it has to stay unknown to everyone, but the one whom it belongs to. this month belongs to me and my heart. sharing everything with Him, in different ways than photography this time.
--------------------------------
also, i have photoshop. and i have no idea how to use it, i seriously suck. i hope to get better. picnik was so easy to use and i had my way of editing. it's hard to get used to something new, but i hope to fall in love with it soon. if you have any tips, i'd be happy to hear them.
this will be replaced or reedited soon.

Kinetic: Relating to, caused by, or producing motion.
These are called “Kinetic” photographs because there is motion, energy, and movement involved, specifically my and the camera’s movements.
I choose a light source and/or subject, set my camera for a long exposure (typically around 4 seconds), focus on my subject and push the shutter button. When the shutter opens I move the camera around with my hands...large, sweeping, dramatic movements. And then I will literally throw the camera several feet up into the air, most times imparting a spinning or whirling motion to it as I hurl it upward. I may throw the camera several times and also utilize hand-held motion several times in one photo. None of these are Photoshopped, layered, or a composite photo...what you see occurs in one shot, one take.
Aren’t I afraid that I will drop and break my camera? For regular followers of my photostream and this series you will know that I have already done so. This little camera has been dropped many times, and broken once when dropped on concrete outside. It still functions...not so well for regular photographs, but superbly for more kinetic work.

It is definitely winter here at Kaercher Creek. We expect 6 or more inches of snow tomorrow. A far cry from the hot July day when this shot of an immature male Eastern Pondhawk was taken.
It gave me so much joy to share my love of nature and life with you. Your wonderful photos have inspired me and brightened my days. I must take a break for a while but will still enjoy viewing your photos. LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!
