This photo that Walter Woolfenden had taken in the middle of the night is quite intresting. Having got the proofs back to look at , Walter asked the photographer to highlight the jib of the right hand crane, this being the Lorain MC 824 I think belonging to Walter, so it stood out more boldly against the other machine that belonged to Sparrows Crane Hire of Bristol. (Lorain MC 9115) .When you blow the picture up into the largest format flickr will allow, you can see that the photo has been touched up. Also of intrest on the right hand side of the photo is the man standing on the platform with his back against what looks like a large sink plunger, it is infact the bottom of a platform light which has also been very carefully touched out of the picture, which would have obscured the rear of the crane body, this also has had to be touched back in. The picture itself shows the two cranes placing concrete beams into position for a new road bridge over the station platforms on what was obviously a night possesion of the railway tracks, location at present is unknown. The date is 1967, not a hard hat in sight and it rained all night, there were workers standing on the lifts and Walters footnote to the photo was, How did we get away with it and no Accidents.

Hi as many of you all know I am a volunteer at a local Philadelphia animal shelter called the Animal Care and Control team of Philadelphia also know as ACCT philly , and I was wondering if you could share this little girl around now you all know that every black animal gets overlooked in the animal shelter all because people think that they are evil . Now this little girl here her name is Cassandra ( #a22675374 )and well by looking at her I can tell she is getting fed up with being in the shelter now at the shelter they do try and make the animals as comfortable as they can so she is in kitty wonderland also known as the free range cat room that certain cats get to room and play and socialize with other cats .... So some people might ask lol is the cat good around other animals well if you read this info you would know she is wonderful with other cats and if you have a dog well it could be arranged for her the cat 2 possibly be tested , now as I was saying before and this little girl has been in the shelter for a while now she was brought in as a stray and is hoping to find her forever home she is currently microchipped and she is fixed or if she's not she will automatically get fixed so she could leave the shelter she is extremely friendly and loves head rubs . she has a beautiful jet black hope and bright golden eyes and as my opinion since I socialize with her since I am a volunteer I say she would be the perfect for someone who is looking for a winter cuddle buddy . We got taken out to the OK Diner again as a treat this weekend and we were allowed to share a burger and fries with mummy. It had funny cheese on it though.
The 4th annual Toronto Park Summit took place on February 22nd at Daniels Spectrum in Regent Park.
This slideshow highlighted and celebrated our accomplishments in 2013.
Toronto Park People's Park Summit is the premier event celebrating and sharing the successes and opportunities of Toronto’s 1600+ parks. This year’s theme, Reimagine Our Parks, explored creative ways volunteers and partners can transform parks into the heart of their communities. 400 of Toronto’s most passionate park advocates and champions came together at the 2014 Toronto Park Summit.
The keynote adress was given by Adrian Benepe. Adrian was New York City’s Parks Commissioner under Mayor Bloomberg from 2002 to 2012. He is currently a Senior Vice President and Director of City Park Development for the Trust for Public Land, the world’s leading independent organization supporting the protection and enhancement of city parks. Adrian is one of the leading global experts on connecting the public, private, and nonprofit sectors in public-space development and management and his role with TPL is to provide advice on using partnerships to improve parks in cities across the US. As NYC’s Parks Commissioner, Adrian oversaw a renaissance in New York City’s parks system including adding 730 acres of parkland and overseeing such exciting new parks as the High Line, Battery Park and Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Members of the Regent Park Food Partnership took attendees for a one-hour walking tour of the Regent Park community. Regent Park is undergoing a massive transformation, which is being looked at around the world as a model by which challenged urban neighbourhoods can be re-imagined and re-created as healthy, sustainable communities. See and hear about the new state-of-the-art neighbourhood amenities (including the six-acre park!) that are at the centre of this transformation and are sure to be a destination for the entire City!
