Wen you see a sign that says "Share The Road," they mean share it with other forms of transportation. But for the driver of the Dodge Dart, he thinks that you are supposed to share the road with others in a one lane zone. I can respect the fact the he may be in a hurry. But if he got into an accident, he would be WAY to late to whatever the heck he was going.
The normal highway is just a couple hundred yards away. It seems like he taking it just a little to far...
There were plenty of butterflies (including this Painted Lady), bees and hoverflies enjoying this Buddleia in the rose garden at Dunham Massey.

Agriculture is the main stay of Uganda’s economy, however, the share of agriculture in the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has been declining steadily. In fiscal year 2009/10, agriculture contributed only 14.6% to the national GDP of which 1.3% was attributed to the livestock sub-sector. The dairy industry is estimated to contribute more than 50% of the total output from the livestock sub-sector. The dairy industry employs many people who are engaged in various economic activities along the dairy value chain, particularly in milk production, collection, bulking and transportation, processing, distribution and marketing as well as provision of inputs and support services.
I'm sure by now the Facebook world has heard my little sister is finally engaged! Freddy said yes after Yeti (Brandon) proposed at our bookshop, where they met. We tricked her into going to the shop on an errand, which she was not pleased about and couldn't understand why it was imperative she go this evening. Later the call came with a giggling ginger on the other line entreating me to come because, "we are ready for you to take pictures Maddie."
Time to plan the wedding!
Oh and in case the being proposed to in a bookstore wasn't enough...Yeti made Freddy's ring. (insert smile)
This weekend was National Alpaca Farm Days, so I went out to the Kaw Valley Alpaca Farm this morning for their open house. It was an amazing experience; the owners let the visitors into the corral with about half of their herd (all females) which allowed for some amazing close-up shots. I got to actually feed some of them, and of course, I took lots of photos which I will be sharing.

Today I have been to Birmingham Airport to collect my Mum from her hol's - so camera in hand I clicked away!!!

being pregnant and having gestational diabetes- finding things to drink beside water is difficult. I allow myself my morning cup of coffee because i really crave it and I can have a small amount of caffeine but then what do you drink? if it doesn't have caffeine, it has sugar. I can't have either... no juices, no smoothies- even milk has sugar.
yes, I am drinking enough water and my evening "snack" is actually a glass of milk because of the sugar content but there's not much else to drink besides diet caffeine free pepsi (diet coke is pretty gross). finally i found something that tastes pretty good and has no caffeine OR sugar. i can drink this. i have only tried the mediterranean fiesta and tahitian tamure- i like the tahitian tamure better. tastes like punch. it has vitamins and minerals added which is nice, too, but mostly i am happy it doesn't taste diet-y.
anybody else try it yet?
We share the bike lanes with other vehicles, too. Pensioners - whether over 65 or those who are forced to retire early - are often given the chance to have an electric scooter to help them get around.
Well, my moment of sharing came quickly. This is Kaylee's first venture into an apple. When I started it, I noticed she was intensely studying what I was doing. And after getting permission from the mama, I sat down and started to bite off little pieces for her. She happily took them and ate them, but she kept wanting the full experience. So I brought the apple up to her little mouth and she started gnawing away.
This has to be one of the most incredible "daddy" moments I have had so far. Listening to her little teeth crunch into the apple, only to just get a teeny piece of the apple off, was priceless. I would take a bite off the other side and she would just giggle.
A shared experience that would normally be a solitary act. Today, share something again. It should be a daily act. Share an apple or knowledge or time or money or responsibility. Share something and you'll gain back more than you ever wanted.
