Just sharing...
This is going to be the frontpage decor of an album for my dear friend Sanne's son's(Nikolaj) confirmation on Saturday. She asked me to make this - as she is so busy arranging the big day for her lovely son.
He likes black - not my favourite color at all so this was quite a challenge for me. I heat embossed the butterflies and the heart flourish.
The text on the four leaf grid part - is what the boys an girls are saying in the church as part of the confirmation ritual. (I have no idea what this is called in English).

Varadaraja Temple
The Varadaraja temple is one of the important shrines of Sri Vaishnavites, also known as "Hastigiri" and is one of the celebrated Vaishnava Divya Desams, located in Vishnu Kanchi or "the Little Kanchi". Originally it was known as "Attiyuran". The main deity here is Varadaraja Perumal in a standing posture facing west and the Lord here is also known as "Devaraja", "Pranatharthihara", "Deva Perumal", "Athiyooran" and "Perarulalan".
Varadaraja temple with superb art has a magnificent history, which is associated with Sri Ramanuja, who used to serve here. Many miracles are said to have occurred. It was with his ministry that the temple, then already several centuries old, began to gain fame.

Our shared narratives as Americans are preserved through the highest caliber of ongoing scholarship and advocacy. On Saturday, May 14, 2016, the Jay Heritage Center (JHC) held its second John Jay Medal Dinner and recognized two individuals whose exemplary efforts have helped elevate and strengthen the legacy of native New Yorker, John Jay.
JHC's first honoree was Prof. Joseph J. Ellis, one of our nation's leading historians and the Pulitzer Prize–winning author of Founding Brothers: the Revolutionary Generation. Ellis' exhaustive and illuminating research for his newest book The Quartet: Orchestrating the Second American Revolution 1783-1789 restores John Jay to the pantheon of nation-builders alongside Washington, Alexander Hamilton and James Madison. JHC's second honoree was Prof. Nicholas A. Robinson, a founder of the Pace Environmental Law School newly renamed for the tireless environmentalist and philanthropist Elisabeth Haub. Robinson, together with JHC's original founders, helped preserve and landmark the 23 acre Jay Estate on Long Island Sound in 1993. Today this touchstone in Jay's life is protected parkland and a must see destination on New York State's Path Through History.
Warm weather rewarded 125 dinner attendees including many Jay descendants and the editors of The Selected Papers of John Jay at Columbia University. An appreciative crowd enjoyed cocktails on the veranda and toured the landscape. They viewed rare manuscripts and artwork including a 1786 drawing of Spain's flag generously donated by Mrs. Paul Hughes and her family. Afterwards Prof. Ellis gave a mesmerizing talk about John Jay's peacemaking skills and his pivotal role in shaping our new nation's foreign policy with Britain, France and particularly Spain.
According to Ellis "[Jay] is the greatest diplomat of the revolutionary generation." Both honorees received standing ovations.
Samuel W. Croll III, Prof. Shelby D. Green, Charlene Laughlin and Thomas R. Mercein were Dinner Co-Chairs. Previous Jay Medal honorees were Catherine "Kitty" Aresty and Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel.

Posted in response to a picture shared by Rockwolf. One wasp appears to be regurgitating liquid directly to another wasp, and it must be good stuff because there was an excited scrum of wasps over it.

We would like to share our experience of the visit to Longwood Gardens’ 2014 Christmas Spectacular (the main theme this year is BIRDS). The festivities begin on Thanksgiving Day and continues through the end of the first week of 2015. In recent years, we have found that it works perfectly for us to go on Thanksgiving Day, for we would celebrate TG early and afterward. This allows an opening day attendance at Longwood, where the crowd is significantly less than during the peak weekend days. There will be a good number of photos to view, and for the most part, presented in correct sequence. Please check out our ALBUMS titled “LONGWOOD GARDENS of Kennett Square, PA” and/or “CHRISTMAS SCENES” for a better flow in exploring the photos, since the continuity is lost when uploading into FLICKR while many others are doing the same, thus, having a variety of shots mixed in between the ones representing our visit on this day.
The wide variety of flowers and plants at Longwood Gardens are absolutely stunning in all stages and species . . . truly a Garden of Eden for anyone with a deep passion for these gifts of nature. The annual Longwood Gardens Christmas never fails to awe the visitors with one spectacular display after another. Whether these are in the magnificently elegant grand Conservatory, or outdoors within the over 1,000 acres of fabulous grounds, each and every thing is meticulously planned and designed, always arriving at some fresh ideas and/or concepts, while also maintaining the traditionally classic holiday floral and lighting appointments throughout. Given that the main theme for the 2014 holiday season is BIRDS, this can be seen in such spectacularly tasteful fashion throughout the displays of the vast indoor landscape. From the moment one enters the architectural marvel of the Conservatory, whether through the main Orangery or the East Conservatory, an awe inspiring view awaits.
As many as four squirrels have been sharing my ceramic squirrel house to help them keep warm during weather with low windchill temperatures. They are probably adult siblings. The handbuilt ceramic structure is permanently located here and has survived five winters after being built in 2018. Webster Groves, Missouri.
Man, a lot of airlines share the Plaza Premium Lounge, which is probably usually okay. However, since the lounge was being renovated, they basically set up a temporary lounge in the middle of the terminal and then had another part of the lounge in a small room. In short, it was sort of a joke and I would be highly annoyed if I was on a revenue ticket.
